Why do you want a lower rated battery? And why do you think swapping an engine matters to the size of the battery?
CCA = cold cranking amps. For any application you want a higher rated battery for more capacity and increased handling of electrical loads. If the battery will fit around IC piping or whatever you've done under the hood, go for at least 650CCA. You can get away with less, but why?

Get the biggest yellow top that fits.

Does this sound crazy to anyone? CCA is usually lower than regular CA.
