Whats going on guys, as some of you know i posted a build thread of my s13 track project a few weeks back. Well i was thinking and i never posted one for my daily. Comments and Advices friendly!!!

I purchased this car 1 year and 4 months ago. It was meant to be a daily and I got a really good deal on it, so I couldnt pass it up. I am the 3rd original owner and it was bone stock when I bouth it. The only bad thing is that it has a Auto Fail Trany!!! :( ( which didnt matter then because i had a broken foot, lmao )

The first thing I did was get rid of the old bubbly tint.. "3% tint so you cant see up in my window" lmao...

Few weeks after the tint, my buddy sold me his Apexi N1 for 50 bux plus my stock!!!!

Then I picked up some 17' 350z wheels..

Now the car stayed like that for a month or so. My tires were starting to get really bad so i ran into some 962s for 300 bux with brand new tires. bad thing was that they were 7's in front instead of 9's... sunken battleship ftl!!! And I also got a set of 6k HIDs

Then i ran into another great deal on some Cusco Zero IIs for only 550 bux.. They were a few months old but just had been mounted on the guys car that never left his driveway.. I know it looked gay to be tucking 9's sunken in but these pictures were before i got spacers and got rid of all the negative camber.. The wheels now sit flush and look prety good.

I havent taken any pics of the car for a few months now. But i did manage to pick up some Mag Blue VOLK Racing GT-Cs.. people never believe me when I say this but I picked them up for 448 dollars.. Some kid i knew totalled his z and got kicked out of his house. Lucky me, I had 448 bux in my wallet.. lol

They need to be refurbished becaue they have some curb rash damage.

For now the car still sits on the 962's.. I just ordered my extended studs for the rear so i can start fitting the Volks. After i get the fenders rolled and wheels fitted, they will be getting refurbished...

It is taking me a quite a bit because I am really focused on my s13 track car now and I just spent extra change on the daily..

Ill keep updates and maybe take some more recent pics...

Little Update...

My Nismo extended studs just came in the mail.. I sold the sport maxs and ordered my tires for the front.

should have them on this friday...

just need to buy a fender roller, studs for the front and lug nuts!!!!

Apparently I have to run 5mm spacers all around because the lug but ket hits the extended studs... so i gotta fill in the small gap so they can tighten all the way!!!!

Muteki lug nuts dont fit the GT-C lug nut whole. my roomate has them and we have already tried. I am talking to other local Volk owners and i am going to compare my wholes to theirs and try on their nuts.. Itis such a stupid problem to run into at this point... but hey, rather do it right than half assed...

i am just gonna use the ones i already have. they are GT-C specific straight from Volk Racing. I am going to notch a bit of the rear studs off and put my rears with no spacers or anything.

When those wheels going on :) and you should of came out wed it was fun.


I finally got some time to fit my fronts on 2 days ago..

no roll and no major camber in the front. Relocated the harness to the side of the fender.. No rubbing at all, not even at full lock. Great for a daily... still need to go about 1/4 inch lower on the passenger side.

well thanks for the clean car compliment. :) as of the wheels, your now the second person that tells me that they dont fit/look right on my car. i dont take it personally, just your 2cents.

I think they look perfect in my car, and as of now, the fronts fit awesome. Just got to get it alligned after i put my rears on. They are perfect for a daily and they ride awesome on the highway... As far as selling them, I rather keep them just for the fact that i only payed 486.00 dollars for them.. when i get done with my s13 ill eventully find some other wheels.

Thanks man, I know the wheels are old but they have always been one of my top 5 favorite wheels of all times...I remember watching the signal auto s13.5 years ago and always wondering if i would ever have those wheels. And now i have them in Mag Blue so i am stocked about that...

nope... i have a set of muteki and they dont fit, they are too wide.. the lug nuts i have come with GT-Cs when they are purchased.. they are a super tight fit.. you cant even fit a hair in between the wheels and lug nuts.. dont know the exact name but the wheel nut key has to go inside the key.. not around it like a socket type.. ( sorry but i cant remember the name.. ** brainfart ftl ** )

No he doesn't. I'm sure once he upgrades the subframe in the rear with adjustable arms he can adjust the camber necessary for them to fit properly or adjust his fender pull. Dont chop up the rear of the car unless you're going to run 12's w/o spacers.

that is the reason why i dont wanna do overs.. i would hate to chop up my quarter pannels like that.. I have RUCAS and Toe Arms.. the reason why i didnt wanna run any more negative camber was because this is just my daily and i didnt wanna go through tires every 4 months.. when the car gets repainted, all the imperfections on the pull are gonna get fixed..

I blew the head gasket on the KaBoom... lmao

it was kinda my fault, i took my radiator shroud and my clutch fan off the other day to clean up my engine bay up a bit. Kinda rushed out the door cuz i had to go somewere.. the next morning i am driving to work and my water pump pulley got loose and the belt came off. I didnt think it was a big deal to drive it back ( pretty much on idle ) because this happened right down my street. not even 2 minutes away. so i did... went to work and decided to fix it the next day. After i put the belt and pulley back on, i started the car and noticed smoke!!! ohhh noesss!!! let it run for about 10 minutes or so cause i thought it might just be coolant burning off on the manifold or something. Sure wasnt, car kept overheating and smoke didnt stop..

drove the car into my garage and face palmed myself... ohh well. not going to street about it nor am i going to fix it..

i am going to save for about 2 or 3 months and just get my s14 sr and finish my daily.. Income taxes are coming so that should help speed the process..

even after all, i am pretty excited anout getting my motor and swaping to 5 speed!!! :)


now about the aero... After i get my swap, i might do an aero... i really like how the car sits on stock body but at the same time, a nice clean kit would look dope!!! idk yet, we will ahve to see. i was thinking about going with a URAS type II or a VS Versin I..

This front bumper was design according to the R33/34 GTR front bumper.
It's nice design just has too many holes(looks too busy).
If the other 2 holes were gone and add n1 gtr vents with a more
aggressive(chin out) lip, perfect s14 kouki front bumper.
Most of this can be modified by a bodyshop except the lip part
where you'll have to custom fab one up.

haha i think you should ditch the s14 sr and do a 1jz or 2jz swap :P s14 sr is too expensive. You would probably end up paying just as much doing a JZ swap and you get more power out of a twin turbo inline 6:D i know from experience since i ditched my SR to do a JZ swap hehe

well after 10 months of the kouki sitting in my garage, i finally started to wrok on it. It has been negleted for a lil too long and i am very unhappy i let that happen.

Anyways, i am very focused on this car again and all my sweat, blood, and money is going into it.

Gotta love a build that starts off as a clean white "virgin" chassis and blossoms into a simple yet detailed ride like your own. More power to ya & keep up the good work.

We left the overhang for last just because we didnt want the strut tower to get flimsy. After everything is done, ill cut the overhang off. Looks like he tubs defenetly strengthen the front of the chasi.

Just finished my engine bay today. First time doing tubs so it was defenetly a trial and error situation. Afterall they didnt come out too bad, just a few imperfections here and there. Pretty satisfied on the final outcome though, next tubs will be better.

Picked up my swap yesterday.. supper stocked. thanks to Billy and Josh from Import Image racing. They hooked it with an awesome price and service.

motor came with an exedy clutch, and seems like a newr/different/non oem flywheel. ill pull the pressure plate tomorrow to see what kind of disc it is.

It is leaking some oild from the oil return line due to a crack on the line, nothing too serious to be worried about. hopefully everything goes smooth. maybe do my wiring this weekened and have it dropped in by and runnin in a week or so. work owns me right now.

My driveshaft came a few days ago. :)

took intake mani off and taking off my trubo mani today to put new studs in and get it heat coated cuz it looks like poop.

wiring tomorrow and hopefully car would be running by the end of the week. :)

Pulled my exhaust mani off to fix the broken stud that came with the motor and broke 3 more on the process. Guess ill just throw in all new studs and just get it over with.

I am waiting on my friend cuz he is getting this new ez out set thats suppose to be amazing, so ill be doing that on tuesday when he gets it. I was also thinking instead of running all studs, just putting one stud on each end to keep the manifold centered and bolting the rest of them..

lil update. just took my broken studs out of the head a bit ago. alot easier that i expected. No just waiting on my exhaust mani and injector caps to get back from powder coat. Need to get an intake mani and exhaust mani gasket and it will be ready to drop in. Hopefully by this weekend. :)

also, picked up a q45 tb and new clutch master.

has anyone on here used RTV to replace gaskets?
