View Full Version : Exhaust recomendation?

Right now I have a 91 5-speed coupe that's completly stock.

The stock exhaust that's on the car is fairly heavily damaged and needs to be completly replaced from the cat-back so I figure now would be the perfect time to upgrade to a nicer aftermarket exhaust.

I don't really plan to build up the engine at all on the car. At most, I will get a new air filter and headers, and then some suspension upgrades.

I don't want a giant coffee-can style exhaust, I just want something that looks good, will sound better than the stock exhaust, and will give a little performance.

From my research, Borla's exhaust seems like it might be a good choice, but I'd like to hear some opinions from you guys on any other options that would be good for me. Please post pics of any recomendations if possible.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks. :D

If you don't get it, they're telling you to use the search function. For looks just go to the links on zilvia.net and go to the e-stores and look at their pics. Zilvia.net also has videos you can watch/download so you can see what they'll sound/look like. I personally like this exhaust. Does anyone have a pic of a Borla exhaust on a 240sx?

The only place that still sells them is nissan motorsports, and they don't have a picture. There's no picture on borla's website either.

Thanks.

borla is not all that bad i haev heard them on my friends rx-7. thay sound great, look good too. very clean, not too noticable, but he also said he didnt notice barley any power change and i looked @ the bends and they dont look as minimal as other aftermarket exhausts.

hey i got a hks sport r2 (dual tip) for my 93 fb. Sounds good, looks just like stock, and i can feel a small power gain around 5500-6800. If you plan to go n/a i would get this exhaust.

From what I've read, alot more people seem to have clearence issues with the N1's than not, though it probably all depends on how it's mounted.

Plus they're so damn expensive.

Rob: Correct me if i'm wrong, but from searching the forums, I read that the HKS sport R2's are out of production?

I highly recommend the Borla exhaust also... I had one on my S13 before it got stolen. It had tight deeper bass and looks real good. I have pics but their stuk on the digital camera cuz I lost the program I need to upload them to my comp :/ . Good exhaust if you can find em.

From what I've read, it's with the N1's not the N1 Dual's. The N1 hangs lower than the N1 dual.
