As stated in the title i installed the s13 redtop into my 1995 s14. Thing runs and drives excellent but i am having an issue with the coolant temp. I am wondering if maybe the valve on the heater core hose could possibly be stuck closed and how i would be able to check that? The reason i ask is because the gauge seems to be reading hot but the heat blows cold. Well, not cold but it dont blow hot like it should. Could this be caused from the valve not opening and not letting coolant flow through the heatercore?

Could be, 95 should have a valve on the the hose and it might not be opening.

Yea i seen that valve had a cable coming off of it. And it had me wondering if thats why my car could have been overheating due to that valve not opening. But i changed the 1 prong guage cluster sensor as u stated in another post and it fixxed my temp issue i was having! Makes me feel idiotic..lol Its amazing how something so small could cause so much stress....

But also, like I stated in your other thread...get an aftermarket water temp sensor later down the road since the stock gauge are fucking worth less. When that thing pings to tell you its HOT, your car is usually already over heating or worst. Get that and an oil pressure gauge, those 2 on top of a boost gauge are a MUST HAVE for SRs.
