even if it is canadian, it's $6889 which is still pretty expensive. You can buy a decnet s14 with that much. Do you have pictures?

Sounds like a nice car but I would say you definatly payed too much. I dont know what the exchange rate is but I wouldnt pay more than $4000 U.S. for any s13. But dealers mark them way up, you chould have got a lot better deal if you bought from a private party.

Best way to answer your question is....ARE YOUY HAPPY WITH THE CAR? If so, then no.
I wrecked my '93 se (bought in Atlanta= no rust) with leather in "perfect" condition in Feb 1998.
I looked for another "great condition" 240 hatch until June 2002, when I bought my '91 for $4500. Before I bought, I had ony seen 2 other worth condsideringin abotu 3 years...The rest are just thrashed in one way or another....doesn't seem to fit as a "nice" car to me if it's not close to showroom. Had I bought another (cheaper) 240, I bet I'd have thrown more than the premium I paid in restoring the car to make me happy. Clean s13's are just next to impossible to find here in DC area.
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR NEW CAR!!!

Hmmm. well oilspray means that they spray a rust inhibitor into all the body panels and under the car, meaning that even though its now 10 years old there isnt a spec of rust on it anywhere. Its paint is amazing, I will upload some pics soon, the local Nissan Dealer asked me to park my car there for a photo shoot. Its a great example of a stock 93. Its not thrashed whatsoever, everything is tight, quiet and feels new. Old man driven if im not mistaken.
But I did think 10 grand canadian was a bit. In response to the question asked "are you happy with it?"
absolutely. its a real head turner, I get compliments everywhere and it really sticks out in a crowd, and thats without modifications!

If you're happy with it, then it's definitely a good deal! Trust me, it's always better than paying for a car half as much but you end up not liking it. It's your money, and you spent it wisely to make you happy. Therefore you should be happy, and so it was a good deal. Have fun and good luck with the car.

If i'm not mistaken that's a pretty rare model too, at least it was in the US, not sure about Canada though.

yeah you got ripped off (in my opinion), you can get a good condition s13 w/ an SR and some addons for that much easily, or a decent 95-96 SE.

chassis flex?? Thought it seemed pretty solid to me.
Are you thinking US dollars? Cause every time I pick up the paper here and look for a 240 theres the high mileage half-ass rice jobs going for like 5 grand and the nice, well maintained ones like mine for like 9 or 10

yeah sunroofs have some more flex, its not like a solid top
you also LOSE headroom. non moonroof/sunroof 240sx have far more head room espeically noticiable when you have a helmet on.
us dollars/ only suckres pay 6k
our friend got a SE model for 3500 iirc. around that. very nice condition and all changes/maintenance etc were done by the dealer from day 1 (all records too)
you got ripped plain and simple.
btw, i can get one of your 'great ones' here for under 5K. its not rocket science or looking for the arc of the covenant. it just takes time and hard work.
btw, it 'seems' solid to you because you havent tried non moonroof one or pushed them to the limit. once you modify the car (chassis wise) you'll notice it.
and no in US dollars its a tad shy of $7K USD.

c'mon now guys, it's said and done.
I paid to much for my 1st s13, auto LE leather, etc. 134k $3900, got my 2nd one for $2500 (exactly the same but with 94k) :)
He paid much more than he should've, but what's done is done. He DID get a nice condition car at least! Welcome to the 240 world man :)
oh and on the flex thing... try driving down an inclined driveway at an angle (like go down it diagonally), you'll hear lots of creaking. This is the flex they're talking about. Even still tho, the s13 is still much stiffer than many other cars.

I live in Ontario, Canada too, and S13's definatly don't go for 9-10k CDN.
You got ripped off big time man, sorry.
I got my S13 with the following:
- Bought from original owner
- 165,000 original km's
- 2 year old paint job
- 3 year old clutch
- Rebuilt alternator
- New battery
- New exhaust
- New hanger bearings
- Full tune up (plugs, o2 sensor, wires, etc. etc.)
- Mint interior (minus minior wear on the side of the drivers seat)
And I paid $3500 Canadian ($2403.34 USD)
For the extra $6500 that you paid, I could have a fully rebuilt KA with forged internals, and a DIY turbo kit.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and my car was oil sprayed every year too.
