Hey so my coolant tank now has a few holes on it, and i got like 10~20$ and i need a new one or used w/o holes, does anyone know a place that sells them REALLY cheap in So cal (Torrance / Carson / Gardina / Redondo)? a junk yard or a pick a part? i live in Redondo beach, but i might get a ride to those places or i'll just walk, i dont want to over heat my car.

Please and thank you.

Check Pick Your Part's site?

Since you're looking for a local junk yard, that'd be the first place to look.

dude, those places suck... they won't tell you what they have, charge you an entrance fee of $2, and if you leave and go to another Pick you Part down the street, they'll re-charge you another entrance fee... its like a hit or miss with them. I do see cool stuff every now and then though... but its a gamble.

They're not there to tell you anything. The workers don't take inventory of what's actually in the yard so there's nothing to tell you except to pay the entry fee and look for yourself. Also, if you find the cover charge of $2 to be a hassle then you're seriously in the wrong hobby.

If you want the work already done for you then hit up salvage yards that disassemble the cars and take inventory of what they have. There are several in the 818 that cater to Nissans so I'm sure you can find one near your area, but prices do go up at these places seeing as they're doing all the work for you.

Eh, figured I'd at least let the dude know. Either way it's cheaper than buying a new one from the dealership.

its not the prices for entry its the time being wasted for me to drive all the way out the, get in, look around, and come up empty so i've tried to call b4 to save me the hastle...ive spent more on entry than actual parts by now ha

Then be smart and get your monies worth (or get in touch with yards that disassemble the cars themselves). Get small shit that you know you can resell or use; fuses, window amps, spare lug nuts, extra screws and bolts, etc. Doesn't matter if I can't find anything I need in a junkyard, I always come out on top with other things that I can easily resell on the forums or on ebay.

dude... wasting time and $2 has nothing to do with the hobby. I mean, seriously, who the hell loves to give up 2 bucks for wasting time (not to mention the drive over there)? its a JUNK YARD, not Autobacs or something... I'd rather sift through zilvia classifieds. I mean, if you like giving up $2 every time you potentially waste time, that's probably a whole different hobby to begin with, irrelevant to cars, lol
The pick-a-parts are like my last resort.

However, I will say, the half-off days are pretty cool. You can pick up a j30 diff w/ axles and probably even matching brakes for under $100

^^ yeah, I actually do go to the disassemble yards every now and then. Saves me the hassle. Theres this ok spot I go to sometimes thats right were the 10 and 605 meet... I forgot the name though.

but it sucks still living @ the parent's house. I'm really trying to lessen the amount of car junk I have... I used to actually do what you guys do... pick up junk that can potentially be sold... but the stuff that doesn't get sold ends up just sitting and creating a mess

edit: I think that one spot I was talking about is called Basset or something like that. I picked up some replacement axles from them for like 50 bucks. I believe all their parts sold have a 30 day warranty..
