Hi All,
Got a noob question for those guys in the NorthEast/cold winter areas.. anyone running an optima yellow top 450 cca battery? How well or bad is it during the very very cold winters? I am also running a 1 speed taurus fan..

Why do you think the type of fan you have is at all relevant here?

I've got the 750 cca model. It's sat in the garage through an Ohio winter and still reading out around 12V.

It'll be that way until you test it under load...

Can't believe it's been 3 years since I've started anything with my Optima battery. Battery in my F150 died so I threw in the yellowtop. It has seriously been sitting in the trunk of my 240 in the cold of winter and summer heat. I've put a trickle charge on it a couple times. Charged it for about 10 minutes today and it started the truck right up. Wow! Can't believe I bumped this dinosaur of a thread to tell anyone this either. Fuck it.
