Ok My name is Andrew I go by Drew, I have been in the drift game and 240s for about 8 years total. I am an electrician by trade and mechanicaly inclined and can perform most any repair myself, I started drifting in Japan and carried it to my last base in NJ where I put my own car together and met a lot of good people in the "drift" scene. I would like to carry it with me here in Bakersfield because its what I love to do. So if you need anything PM me and I will do my best to help.


I have a couple of people already interested but would like all of you to know that I am certian I can rent out the skid pad at Buttonwillow Raceway for 500$ for a full day, so I would like to get a group of people together (the more the less per person up to 10) to start going once a month to practice gymkhana/ drifting. I will have further info tomorrow on exact details but so far 4 people including myself will be participating. So If you are interested in getting out and drifting (legally) PM me. Spectators welcomed as well

I will also be keeping a "Bakersfield Hook up thread" updated with any helpful info to help out the drifting community of bakersfield. So bookmark and check up if you are interested.

Its going to be next sunday. 55$ entry fee is due by this up comming thursday Sep 17. After thursday the fee will be 65$. you can avoid the late fee if you put down a non refundable deposite of 20$ and pay the rest at the meet.


CEN CAL DRIFT MEET 2 SEP 20

Each driver will have a wrist band. Any other persons will need to pay 20$ if they are not driving their own car but have a driver that is willing to let them use their vehicle.

Meet will start at 9am and ends at 5pm PM me if you are interested and are willing to send payment or have other questions about the meet.

The third round of the CEN-CAL Drifting Clinic will be on OCT 25th, at Buttonwillow Raceways Skid Pad. The last 2 events were AWESOME! Here is the breakdown.

Anyone interested I will be providing a huge discount for a pre-event or general HP check up this Saturday.

40 bucks for the check up and service. flat rate- I have a couple more slots open if anyone would like to stop by and have their timing, tps, vacuum and fuel system signed off as 100% correct and have peace of mind.

Every car that has stopped by so far was between 20-40 degrees off! on base timing!

This is really helpful if you're looking for diagnosis of idle issues, bogging, hp loss etc. Timing alone can make 40-60 hp difference in just a quick check with a high quality diagnostics equip

- vacuum leak test using smoke machie tester (finds any vacuum leak possible)
- timing light and cas base timing check (tps timing mode with ecm in limp and with connected) per fsm and also in a special method I devised to check timing in real time
- TPS voltage check (important for tip in thorttle if you are still using stock ecm)
- Fuel Pump condition as well as ecm codes and harness condition diagnosis.

Takes about 30min-1 hour minimum.

Im def gonna practice at willow springs a couple times before I go out there. but Id like to try and get a pactice session at buttonwillow raceway too . It is right off the I-5 freeway. Im trying to get some people to sign up soon so I can reserve a date. and then have another a couple weeks after at willowsprings.

Buttonwillow is only 1hr 45 from central LA and the same for central Fresno

Ive got my ride almost put back together and I am going to need to do some test and tune. I know its a bit of a ride but Id like get a meet/practice going on that can have up to 12 cars but no limit on drivers. "drivers" are the owner of the car and is the only one allowed to drive your vehicle unless the passenger/or person wanting to borrow a drivers car pays as well. (cone course with a couple variety of courses that are agreed upon at the drivers meeting. there is a 30 min free for all to warm up then we have 8 hours of drifting for for just 60$

cost

60$ and a 10$ track fee.
additional non owner drivers 40$ + 10 track fee

I will have water there but you need to bring food

rules:

There is a chain link perimeter around the pad and I keep a relative good distance with the cones so you really have to screw up to hit it. but I have to sign a waiver saying that if I break I buy, so I will have a waiver for each driver to sign prior to starting.

The only reason for 12 drivers is so I dont have to pay extra insurance, the track covers it. there can be 5 standby vehicles (http://zilvia.net/f/#) which will be able to enter if any cars breakdown or if someone else leaves early.

no tandem runs on the skid pad for now per management. but Im working on it :)

we can figure out run times depending on how many people show up.

There will be a drivers meeting right at 10am

All drivers that have paid dues will have a wrist band

Most of all everyone get along and help each other out, this session is inspired by this thread so hopefully we will have someone there with a lot of time on the track, if not just practice helps any way.

Im planning on this happening early to mid may (so pretty soon) depending on how many people sign up.

Half of the payment is due before your name goes on the list, if you dont sign up within the week drivers are 70$ and non owner drivers will be 50$ non owner drivers must make arrangements w/a driver prior. no showing up and hoping someone will let you drive their car. it happens...

LMK if you have anyone interested. there has been 5 good meets and still more to come maybe at willow springs because its not much further and is a lot less with a membership. 100$ for the first time but only like 30 or 40 for the rest of the year.
