So I started playing chess my last deployment(at least started getting serious about it) because I wanted to get good at something that not everyone is into, or knows how to do(and I dont mean knowing how the pieces move, does not count). Its kind of like speaking another language. Well any way its something that I enjoy tremendeously and just wanted to see how many of you in zilvia land play.

So if you do please feel free to chime in and comment. Also if anyone wants to play online, im game. Im not too bad and love a challenge.

i actually won a championship for chess in my hometown like 12 years ago. funny enough, i beat the guy with the 4 move trick. i couldnt belive it. i play speed chess, and he was a real thinker. i made him play my game, then lulled when i won. couldnt believe it, i htink my mom still has my trophy at home.

my homie and i used to play chess on yahoo all the time. we would rent the chess master game for n64 then put it on grand master. we would input the opponents moves as ours on the 64, then use the comps moves as ours online. lol needless to say we had ranked players crying. feel free to use that trick whenever you want. its always good for hours of geeky hillarity.

I started with "chess masters, the art of learning". So far Ive found it to be the most life like game you can get...aside from real people.

The game will make mistakes and has several personalities. Not just one mathmatical form of thinking.

As for fooling people online, I just want to get as good as possible(bobby fisher status...)
