Is it 3/8" NPT? I can't find the answer online.

While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at CSK Auto (http://shop.oreillyauto.com/ProductList.aspx?PartType=5&PTSet=A)

I thought it was something like M20x1.5 Its not an NPT pitch.

Is M20x1.5 to 12 mm adapter existing? Where can I buy it? I want to connect a 12mm hose from PCV valve opening to a catch can.

Not sure, but I just drilled out the rear end of the PCV valve and the check valve slid right out.

its 3/8 BSPT

flip240 from Ka-t said,

"they are both 3/8", the fitting is 3/8" NPT."

Is the fitting 3/8 BSPT or 3/8" NPT?

Thanks for the help!

I highly highly doubt its NPT. If I recall correctly it is tapered tho. I would figure out what Japan uses as typical pipe threads; might be able to google that one. It might be BSPT but again I'm not familiar with their standards. The one from the 200sx SE-R is the same one. Its just a check valve that lets air out and not in.

Are you looking to re-thread?

For my KA-T, I want to remove the PCV valve and connect an adapter to the air box and run a hose to a catch can. Basically, I want to vent the engine blowby to a catch can and atmosphere.

Right now, I need to know the fitting for the PCV valve and buy an adapter.

you want to remove the PCV altogether? If you want to vent the blow by, just use the VC breather connection on the front of the VC. Connect that to a catch can and the catch can to the intake tube going to the turbo. This will cause a vacuum at WOT and pull vapor from the crank case. I wouldn't disable your KA's PCV...

So how would you deal with the PCV system?

leave it intact and add a catch can for that as well. The PCV valve allows air to be pulled from the crankcase, while the intake manifold is under vacuum. If you are noticing a lot of oil in your intake manifold, I would recommend a catch can for that along side a crank ventilation catch can.

I left my PCV system intact on my KA-T...

what's the reason for messing with it anyways? Do you have a known problem that you're trying to correct?

Basically I just want to follow this guide.

www.ka-t.org :: View topic - HOW TO: *Properly* disconnect your PCV ... (http://www.ka-t.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27437&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0)

He said PCV system should be removed for KAT because the potential of vacuum leak, and he vented PCV to atmosphere.
