Hi guys,

Got a big plan ahead for my S15 but it seems I have to get all the worn out parts fixed / replaced ...

My car is stock brought from Japan and although the condition itself is good but

the rear shocks rubber cover for the pistons all torn and I bet the front shock would be just the same with all the other exterior rubber parts

I looked it up on FAST but it doesn't look like they are selling just the piston cover

I guess the cover is only to protect the piston from dust?

Should I just rip it off and not worry about squeaky noise or find a mechanic.

It seems it will cost more than what it is,

Swap with aftermarket suspension kit is not 'yet' an option.

you're talking part number 55240?

(s14 and S15 rear aftermarket coilovers are the same, so I'm going to guess that the stock is similar in design and the s14 dust boot may work)

EDIT: I just got your pictures working, and in all honesty, if you plan on replacing them soon.. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
