No.

But i think that maybe in canada...? I dunno i thought I heard that the "SE" was like the base here in the States and the "LE" was like our SE..... Anyone know that for a fact?

i have always thought SE models ALWAYS had 5-lug wheels. im in the US. my title says SE model, and when i gave my insurance company just the vin, the card said SE. but things may not add up

That's weird.

But either way it's in error if you have a 4-lug car. The US-spec SE model absolutely had to have 5 lugs, 16" wheels and a rear swaybar.

Do you have the scripted "Se" badge on your trunk lid?

no, i have no se badge on the trunk. but i dont know if it is glued on or leaves holes. i have no badge and no spoiler. something is weird. i bought my car out of state, and to register it i had to have the vin verified, and it passed no probs. something is weird

this is really strange b/c this chick who lives near my house drives an kouki s14 auto.. it has an SE badge, but it has four lugs.. i know she doesn't modify cars or anything.. she's like late 20ish and just seems to like to drive a sporty car everytime i see her driving.. and if she did.. who would convert a 5 lug to 4 lug?

If it has the 16" alloy wheels, it's going to be five lug. Find out if the alloys were an option or standard equipment with the SE trim and you will find your answer.

Now, next question, you keep talking about something being fishy, but haven't clarified your predicament. Do you have an SE with four lug wheels?

just wondering, but if a person bought it brand new, could the specify ALL the features they wanted to save money such as 4 lug rims? never bought a new car before... what are the other reasons you're selling it?

no, they couldn't order the car like that.

thats the problem. i havent clarified my predicament. i am selling the car, i want to sell the car, the title i have says its an SE, but all the info i have gotten speaks against it being an SE.. i dont want to sell it if it is fishy, i dont feel right selling it if it has a problem, i know i would be bummed if i bought a car and it turned out to be fukkkedd up. i called up 2 different nissan dealerships and neither knew what the heck i was talking about.

here is the only pic i have of the car. does this help?http://www.zilvia.net/f/attachment.php?s=&postid=178823

by being fishy, things dont add up, all the documents i have match the car, so it LEGALLY seems, but how do i have a car that doesnt exist, the only way i can think of how my car came to be was someone bought the se with all options, than ripped of the 5-lug.abs, and lsd

Thats a base, same way mine used to look.

Here is what might of happened. I used to work a a car dealer and I noticed with the s14, you enter the vin and it still doesnt know if its an SE or not, it gives you a choice. So what happens is that a dealer will choose SE and it will be labled as such, even on the registration when it is sold. It happens all the time.

ok cool, i was just dreading it to turn out to be a few cars thrown together. motor from one, chassis from another, and so on......

thanks, matt

Yea, all s14's show up as SE/LE models on registration. The ID# on the plate in the engine bay is really the only way you can tell if its originally base or SE/LE trim.

we could of solved this a bit early by asking what color gauges u had. at least i think

Forgot about the guages.

SEs have white face guages, base have black.

You don't have a SE.

A base model can have all the pwr options, spoiler, sunroof, and leather seats. I dunno about the SE front lip.

Not all the SE 240's have LSD....mine's an SE and i dont have an LSD on mine...i think it was an expensive option on the car so few people have it....yea i have the lip, spoiler, white face guages, power everything but i dont have leather....so who cares right?
