First off, every thread I've seen that had anything like this in it has been full of flames so if this isn't a valid question or isn't allowed then I'm sorry and you can close/delete this thread right away.

Next, I understand a 240SX Coupe is always going to be a 240SX Coupe and not a Silvia and there's a million differences and all that. I just want to know what's needed to make the 240SX Coupe look SIMILAR to an S13 Silvia. Badges are obvious.. I know you need the Silvia front end and headlights and stuff. What else is needed on the exterior? Is the rest of the body mostly the same? Tail lights similar? I have already done a search on here and although most of what I found pertained to the S14 (as far as good information goes), it's to my understanding that the the front end is the only big exterior change. Is this correct?

Also, how different are they on the interior besides not being right hand drive.. that's pretty obvious. Did they have different seats/steering wheel/etc?

If someone could please give me an honest answer I'd greatly appreciate it. I don't want this car to be a Silvia.. it's a 240sx. I'm just wondering what the big cosmetic differences are between the two cars. Thanks...

iirc
different steering wheel
floormats
climate controller
ebrake location
interior accessories (factory options)
no electric seatbelts
gauge cluster
optional gauges (temp, boost, etc)
um...that's all i can think of right now.

Thank you! That was very helpful. :) Where is the e-brake located? And so is the front the only big difference on the exterior of the car?

ebrake is other side
US is against driver right leg
japan is against driver left leg

You know, I always thought that was kind of silly, cause the ebrake always gets in the way to some extent...

Should have been on the opposite side of the console...

nah because us DrIfTaS would have to reach farther, hit the shifter! :(

Doh.. I forgot about DeM DrIfTa'S!!!! ... that would be an interesting project..

Get a JDM console (behind shifter and back..), and remount the Ebrake on the right..

hmmm... us tall people gotta do what we can :D :D

I think it makes sense to have the Ebrake between yourself and the shifter.
You're less likely to drive off w/ the ebrake on, since it's in the way from your hadn to the shifter!

The SR20 powered S13 Silvias had a different optional wing on the trunklid. It was a rounded surfboard shaped thing with an LED brake light. CA18 powered S13s had the same wing as the 240SX coupe though.

Silvias often had painted outside mirrors.

Ok, thanks a lot. :) I'm so used to the e-brake being on the opposite side cause of my MR-2.. I haven't had any problems driving away with it on, but I'm usually really careful about it.

By the way.. wouldn't a TrU DrIfTa be able to drift without the e-brake, by shifting weight? ;)
