I would like to get some input on RacerXmotorsports if anyone has any. I recently applied to win a sponsorship for my car. They called me back said I won a $10,000 sponsorship and here Iam 4 weeks later and nothing in the mail. Also if anyone is in the TExas area feel free to let me in on some good shop names were I can get some mods done.

No secrect. I currently have a 96 black s14 which i plan to drop a sr20det in.INGS body kit, paint job.some JIC or Tein coilovers. redo the interior. Exhaust etc etc the list goes on and on....The only mods I currently have are a AEM short ram air intake. Trust front strut tower bar. and some Tanabe springs. Yea and some silvia emblems that I have not put on yet. Waiting for the paint job first. Audio/ Sony deck and speakers 2 12" subs. Thats about it.:D

$10k is awesome man! I would just keep asking them to make sure you get it, but not too pushy were you will be rejected.

How does sponsership work anyhow?

depends on the agreement
the ones i like give you dealer cost or free stuff or pay for track events ;)

other give you free stuff but you have to attend car shows and such (let's say give you X and X but you have to go to X amount of car shows in a given year)

all vary. depends on the initial agreement.
remember, nothing is free, so if they are giving him 10K he has to return the favor somehow. that's a whole lotta money!

Actually I beleive the sponsorship does entail me either attending car shows in my area or races it just all depends on where RacerXmotorsports wants some promotion at. With signing up for the sponsorship I was also registered to win a R33 GTR Skyline from motorex. I hope i win:p You guys cross your fingers for me k.

FWIW, here's my thought.
First, they want $79 for sending you stickers, shirts, and crap. That's wrong. Also, they say it's an application fee. You don't pay fees to get sponsored, you sign contracts commiting yourself to show/races.
They also give you $10k in discounts.. not merchandise. Their discounts bring the prices down to about average price elsewhere.
Do a google search for RacerX Motorsports. You'll find a lot out about them.

I wish I didn't have scruples, but I can't bear the thought of people getting screwed over so someone far away makes out like a bandit.
