How much would you pay for a CA18DET, 45,000 Miles, w/ ECU, and wiring harness. I have one I want to sell but dont know how much its worth, and also still trying to work out how Im going to ship. Any help would be appreciated. peace

your shipping from Japan?
im guessing by your sig
shippiing from japan is VERY hard for the average joe.
why? because it goes under 'hazardous' materials in the container iirc. also lots of paperwork for the person picking up as well as a way to transport it.

but i'd say a ca clip goes for 800-1500 statesside

but 45,000 miles for a engine that hasnt been in production since what...91? im assuming its been in a junkyard for the past 5+ years. or driven a few miles every week...hmmmmmmmm.

take it from me, I'm in the process of swapping my ca18det, supposed to pick it up friday.
front clip is 1500 from venus-auto.com... thats about the cheapest you will find a clip. I think they are 1450 from flashoptions but reliability from them is spotty. If you can get a shop to order it from venus I think its 1260 plus shipping for the wholesale CA18DET clip plus shipping. they want 1000 for the motorset, but it normally goes for under 800. With the harness and ecu I'm guess its worth to be approx. 1000 dollars. I am paying 800 for my engine and tranny and 425 for a whole lot of stuff and extra parts shipped from japan. (ecu, wiring harness, mafs, sheep dog bov, injectors, coilpacks, extra plugs, etc).
I am custom plumbing my IC with a conquest tsi intercooler, front mount.
The hardest part is finding a downpipe, hks makes one that SHOULD be available for 110 dollars plus shipping, but its friggin hard to find. otherwise you gotta get an sr one and weld and turn the flanges.
my screen name on aol is aandrave if you wanna chat about the swap, I've been homework for a while and I'm finally start to get together all my parts. Plan on swapping in may.
