mike from kognition put one in on his s14.. but it was all one off.

have you ever re-skinned a roof? Doing it correctly isn't that simple.

im sure that it would be a huge waste of time, but i bet it would look sick as hell.

Mike actually got a lot of weight off that car. Last time I knew his s14 was around 2200 lbs and is very competitive.

As far as doing correct bodywork, that's never a waste of time

EDIT: Found a Pic of Mike's car (robbed from premie land) when he was still working on the custom widebody (it wasn't finished in time for the time attack event.)

The dealer. Where else would you buy OE sheet metal?

Wow, how much would that cf top cost for the s14?

I'm surprised it's just the top, not the entire top assembly. Though why they made it in one big ol piece is just stupid. They couldn't make the roof separate from the rear fenders.

you wanna know why you don't see S13 CF roofs for sale? Notice how the roof has a smooth roll onto the rear pillar? there is no clean break where you can obviously see that two panels were butted together and spot welded? Well, when you go to remove your current roof panel your going to have to take the paint back and find where the pillar and the roof panel meet, heat up or cut the bronze colored material that was used by the factory to fill the gap. You would be much better off just replacing whatever part of your roof is already messed up than go to all this work. Trust me. I stripped my S13 down to bare metal on the room, quarters and trunk while restoring it, (still working slowly on it) pics are in my build thread, but not sure you can spot the bronze colored filler I mentioned.
