without admiting innocence or guilt like most people on here do.... how much do you think a citation for .....

1. exceeding 65mph
2. "illegal lane change"
3. at supposedly "90mph"

will be......

im obviously fighting it. im just curious what to expect and save up for because in socal "cops are always right."

im looking for a objective ballpark guess. nothing stupid or people adding the .02 please.

a friend of mine got busted for that his ticket was 270 i think and he showed up to court and i think they dropped it to 200
i think he was lucky cause my speeding ticket was 250 for the first and the second was 350 and both were 25 over the limit

hmm thats interesting because i did get a ticket a couple of months ago. that time i was in the wrong yet i was only 15 over the speed limit and my ticket was 370. that time i did not contest because i know i did something wrong. this time...no

Back in 2000, I got a ticket for doing "97 mph" on the freeway. IIRC I paid over $400 for that ticket plus traffic school.

300ish! msglgth

It depends on the speed also .I got hit with a roughly 300 dollar ticket. They guy was before me was doing about 5 Mph more and his ticket was more.

Vegas was a rough one about 840.

ok i live right by moorpark in socal. i was going 16 over...ie 56 in a 45... why the hell was my ticket 370 then? any other socalers get tickets recently.

also are chp tickets cheaper/different/expensive than just police tickets?

edit^^^ that was my first one.

I'm thinking in the $400+ range with the speeding and lane change violations.

the Saint Louis answer
1. "fix" it for 50 bucks
2. pay the fine in a month or two
3. go about your business, no points, no bullshit, lololol

the California answer
1. "bend over lol"

Dont forget that just going to court now is more expensive so im sure the fines have gone up. since we (ca) dont have any money expect to get raped with no lube, i just found out that even if i pay all my fines and catch up on all my unpaid shit i still may not get my license till new years

fix a tickets in CA are now 25 A PIECE. Used to be 10 for an unlimited number of fix a tickets, now its probably cheaper just to pay the ticket than try to fix it.

sometimes if you go to court and try to fight it the judge will give you a lower amount than if you just tried to pay it. but every case is different. but usually if you try to fight it you have a chance of getting some kind of compromise. like someone else mentioned, anticipate at least 200-250 and traffic school.

And secondly no one gives a fuck what u got busted for so stop crying about it to the whole community .

it all depends on the jurisdiction. Some counties are cheaper some are more expensive. A speeding ticket in LA county can cost $350 easily.
They have crazy penalty fees that they tack on that literally triple the original fine.

A speeding ticket on the 5 out in the central valley would only cost $125 period. So until you go to court and they tell you? you have no idea nor do we unless someone from your area speaks up with fines for the same type of ticket.
