all i want to know is if this can be done, can we make a moster so scary that all other imports start shitting there pistons??? SR head and KA block together to for the super Silvia/ 240 motor. just want to know if it can be done.
oh and someone asked me why i have s14 in my name when i drive a s13, well i wanted a s14 but ended up getting a s13, which i can say i love more then s14 now, i plan to change my name soo.
o shit me2 i got a s13 but i really want a s14 owell,
as for the head swap thing, i don't think it will work because the engines are basicly diffrent i.e.
honda: b-series mix with b-series
nissan: sr-series mix with ?
I have been wondering this myself....

Lol, come on guys... how about the size difference?!?! 2.4 vs 2.0?
yea and besides it would be just little welding work mybe to get ti done.

well..... how much does it cost to get a head from the SR?
i guess if you have money... try it...
i mean.. you MIGHT get something totally scary in terms of power performance... but it might turn out to be a failure.. won't know until you try.
'course, that 2.4L and 2.0L part DOES make it a lil difficult

I'm sure the piston positions are completely different (ie. they the sr head and ka block would'nt line up) Just get the measurements from both and find out, but i'm sure there's a reason why we have never heard of this being done.

There are four deciliters of difference in the engine. That's not little. NismoTom... welding?!?!

The 2.4 liters come from the block, the head sits on top of the block. As for welding, what would you weld !?!

That's exactly the question I had. The four deciliters also cause the width of the engine to be a bit different, you should notice that since you are in Europe. You look at SR20DETs all day long!

Now I get what your saying Thats what I ment in my first post about the pistons being in different locations.

Yeah, but I had already said that they were different in size, so I'm quicker than you!

if you are after displacement, then you can have the block of the sr motor bore out to 2.2 liters. If you want an iron block then turbo the ka, but if you want to put the sr head on a ka block than no it will not work.
