when in TDC the timing mark will line up cam marks will be in certain blah blah blah. those are correct but the distributor doesnt line up?

what the hell is going on here? pics for reference.

It is, the yellow notch is TDC

P.S. you need to replace the front Main seal

lol yea i know^

only thing is that moving the crank that .25 inch is not going to move the dist. 3/4 of an inch.

are you 180 degrees off? there are two top dead centers. no idea what your filthy car is btw. i guess im retarded or im not a fen mind reader.

what do you mean u dont know what my car is? the engine is from a silvia q de. and i know its filthy.it had a nasty oil leak and i live in ny, with rust and snow and salt. if i had the time to clean it i would but i work full time. plus im not the reason this car is so FD. i would like to give that honor to the privious owner. im just trying to save the thing from the junk yard.....

im just gunna spring for the tools tear it down completely and rebuild from the ground up using the fsm. (not completly but timing chain and cams.)
