Sean and Kait are hosting the last SUMMER HELLA NORCAL BBQ** [disclaimer below]

As this is our last event for the 2009 summer season we want to end it with a bang! We're pulling out the stops and hopefully getting this to be huge as... well as huge it can be. This time we are inviting many different car clubs from the Sacramento Area to make an appearance out there and meet and greet everyone! Once again this is a family event, so this means a couple important things. No revving, burnouts, donuts, racing, roasting 1st, dropping 2nd, chirping 3rd, drifting, dragging or other general nonsense.

the past events we held people held true to this policy WONDERFULLY and we thank you for that! Rules are set on parking, yet again. You need to hard park. If you don't want your license plate on the internet, remove it or cover it when you get there!

This time around we are requesting people with easy-up's bring them out. if you cannot transport it the day of go ahead and contact KA-Kait or WagDatto and we can figure out a way to get it out there. bring Lawnchairs,blankets if you need em, if not you will be sitting on grass.

As you can see there are numbers by the list of items, which is the minimum number of what needs to be brought, so if we could get this all filled before people begin to go over the minimum it'd be super baller. That's, right bitches, this is the meet to end the summer in a big way! I've invited a Euro car club as well as put the word out to a few mini trucking clubs. I still have some reaching out to do before I can consider this meet "filled," and we'll be repping more Datsuns this time around, too!!

Anybody who can't make it, but still wants to contribute to the cause, please PM me and we'll figure something out. I have a wagon, so I can haul a few of the EZ-Up's when it comes down to that time, they just need to be in my hands before the day of the meet so I can figure out how much room I have for coolers and the like!

We're going to be doing this one under the sun, and the weather should be nice. More EZ-Up's and chairs and "misters" the better!

Yeah he works at the WalMart there. I work at the tire shop at Sams club right next door and hes stopped by a couple times, seems like a cool enough kid.

I had a fairly formal design set up and was ready for finishing and emailing to Lab17. And my Hard Drive just shit on me the other day. So I'm downloading Photoshop onto my laptop and trying to finish something to bring with.

Quick request... We have one small BBQ that we will be bringing. I'm slightly (okay, a LOT) strapped for cash this month, and I'm not going to be able to bring a BBQ of my own this time.

If anybody has a small Charcoal grill they can donate for the day, I do not mind transporting it (good ole Wagons with all that storage!!), but we WILL need more than one to feed the crowd we're expecting!

Also, anybody else have EZ-Ups? I have a feeling that just one won't cut it! We're in a big lawn!

Invite whomever you want, but do keep in mind, we have a ZERO DRAMA TOLERANCE. I don't care if you drive a Lambo or a CRX. If you're there to have a good time, hang out with people and get to know the locals, then I have no problems with you being there!

I figured I'd drop a quick update since I got up to piss anyway, so here goes...

Sadly, I had some computer troubles late last month. My hard drive and all of my external backup drive was wiped out, and I lost all information on both. With everything going on, I had zero time and zero "fun money" to buy a new hard drive until the beginning of this month. Yesterday, I just got back in town from a 5 day vacation in Lassen, and I'm STILL working on getting all my drivers and programs re-installed on my computer.

Even though the computer is back up, I have no money... This means that I will (SADLY) not have stickers this time around. I still have to buy food and drink for the BBQ, so what little money I DO have to play with, is going to the more essential BBQ needs...

As was stated at the beginning of this thread, this will not be the last MEET this year, but will most likely be the last BBQ this year until the weather gets nice again in Spring. I do still plan on making stickers, as soon as I get PS re-installed on the 'puter and finish the designs. When they are done, I have no issues meeting up locally, at a meet or taking payment via PayPal and mailing them out to people.

I'll post something up when I get it figured out.

I'm sorry again, everyone... It sucks that this came up, because the sticker money had to go to hard drive money... I'm way more bummed than you guys are, it totally made my day when people gave me so much positive feedback at the last meet, and with how quickly they all sold. I was really looking forward to the next run, so I'm way disappointed with how it turned out.

Just got home, decided to swing out there again and scout out the best spot for us. If you're coming down Natomas, it leads right by the Folsom City Park. However, the big event center parking lot/area is directly under the sun and... well, literally right next to the Folsom Police Station.

Turn onto Stafford (opposite direction from the Circle K/Folsom City Ink side of Natomas), then turn right at the big sign that says "Folsom City Zoo," just before you hit the speed bumps. This will dump you into a big parking lot adjacent to the Folsom City Library.

PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY!! There are a lot of roosters and even peacocks hanging out in the parking lot. Also, we are about a 1/4 mile from the Folsom PD station.

Hmm, does it seem like I have a theme going here? The last park was around the corner from a police station... and this one is too...

YES, it's on purpose. I want to diminish the likelihood of ill-fated decisions. Keep the cocky driving to a minimum, please! I don't want to call up our friends down the road on an event that I organized, but if things got out of hand, I won't hesitate!

We've had a great group of people the past few meets, and zero drama, and I'd like to keep it that way!

In any case, there are NO SPEED BUMPS, the parking lot is set up nicely, lots of parking spaces (assuming Sunday is a slow day for other people to show up besides us), and there's plenty of tables, BBQ pits and shade all around.

I called, and there are NO RESERVATIONS on the big area, so Kait and I will show up possibly before 10 to reserve our portion of it, and try to snag the best spot, but there's plenty of trees for shade and lots of other tables around. We should be fine.

Anybody who's coming, please sign up and commit to bring something! We still have plenty of stuff that needs someone to claim it!! We want this thing to have a great turnout, and we'll need plenty of extras for it all, too. Please poke through the thread on Zilvia to find something that hasn't been signed up for yet!

I was gonna do a 5 sp swap but then i decided im not gonna go through all that trouble without upgrading the motor, and my SR isnt ready sooooo I found a dual cam thats getting an exhaust cam swap, lightweight flywheel, stage 2 clutch, headers, and 2.5 all they way back.

Oh, wow. Just got home and sat down at the computer. Great crowd out there today!! I honestly think this was our best meet so far.

Kait and I showed up around 9:45 or so, and my brother and our buddy showed up soon after. We were sitting around, at about 10:30 talking and hoping we weren't going to be the only four out there. Soon enough, we heard a few cars making a loop through the typical park entrance, and figured they might be the first cars to arrive. Soon, a parade of RX-7's started flowing into the correct entrance and finding a place to park. Then a group of 240sx's.

There was a pretty steady flow of cars coming in all day. It was a lot of fun having all the shade to ourselves, until it got around food time... My eyes are STILL burning from all the grillin'! Overall, though, I think Jose and I got away with only minor burns and singed hair... maybe a few years off our lives from inhaling smoke and lighter fluid, but we'll be okay!

Sorry the bacon 'dogs didn't turn out as good as I'd hoped!! Without toothpicks, they just weren't staying wrapped....

Anywho, we had a decent show of 240sx's, Maxima's, RX-7's, a Pulsar, a few Supra's, and a few VIP cars (especially Phil's MPV!). Thanks to everyone who showed up and brought food! It's nice knowing you can show up with a buddy, spend 10-15 dollars and get enough food to last you all day! Thanks, too, to anybody who help clean up! You made our lives easier at the end of the day, rather than having litter all over the park to clean up!

Im glad you like the pics! they are ok but I do much better with a D-SLR, I just started a new job so I should be able to get one sooner than later.

I need to get a new clutch before I even think about dropping the tranny that's in my wagon. I should be getting the supercharger kit this week, and the motor starts going together as soon as I have it.

Realistically, I probably won't drop my tranny until I swap motors, otherwise I'm dupicating efforts. Honestly, if you need it soon, start looking elsewhere. I probably wont be ready for at least another 2 months.

I DO however have a S13 dual cam harness! Offer a fair price and we'll get it done.

Yeah i think im gonna leave my doors black (no fabric) for the meantime and Im about to do a 5sp swap and I figured I should just make my own boot instead of buying one, I just wanted something original that i knew hadnt been done.

yea it'd look funky to have my bood, arm rest/center console lid and glove box done but still have that crappy black tweet shit on my doors...everything else is done i've just been lazy about the doors
