Hey guys I am currently in the process of gathering everything I need to convert my 1992 HB to a silvia front end. I was wondering if there was multiple versions of the headlights though? I have been reading threads and i have heard, brick headlights, Dual beam and Tri beam headlights so I got confused. I was just hoping you guys could help clear things up for me before I buy them.
Thanks
you already got it, just google em and look at the differences

he's refering to the light output. of all S13 lights the Bricks are the WORST when it comes to light output.

But they are so much more badass...
Light output wise. They are all pretty sucky(low beam only).
On the bricks, at least you have the the middle fog lights.
The proj fog lights look awesome, but arent as good as the ones on the bricks.
I've actually had all 3 type of lights on my car before.

yeah Ive only had duals but my buddy has brick with HIDs and I think thats the way to go of the three. I dont know about the adjustability of the bricks, but the seem like they would be easier to tailor for LHD. My duals adjusted fine and I modified 100w H7s or something like that to work they are actually pretty bright. I put really high wattage bulbs in all my headlights (high/low/fog) because I do alot of night driving and my output and light distribution are pretty damn good. I can go out to my car and get the specs and do a write up if anyone wants other options on bulbs for dual and triples.

correction
they are the most sought after GARBAGE headlights available for the S13 Silvia
correction
they are the most sought after GARBAGE headlights available for the S13 Silvia
so maybe you should clarify WHY they are garbage since we are all obviously speculating on how you came to that conclusion.

ive had bricks and dual projects...bricks are horrible with their light output for LHD vehicles...and there is no way of correcting it
dual projectors are awesome once you get them adjusted right...i miss em (they were sexy little buggers too)
heh...back in 04 when most of you were still in jr high school ;)

not true...the flippies on the 180sx front end can be set up for awesome visibility...just stay away from the cheap ebay conversion lights...theres a reason the headlight glass has all those lines in it...theyre made like that to direct light
current generation housings dont need them because the light is now directed via the reflective paneling behind the bulb itself...sealed beam housings require the lines in the glass to send the light in the correct direction...ebay conversion housings are meant for looks and thats it...theyre not built for function
sealed beam headlights from silverstar and hella i believe are the best upgrades for flippies...you cant really do anything for the brick headlights as no one makes glass for it that redirects the light to the proper side of the road...the internal reflectors dont really do jack shit either...stay away from the clear brick headlight glass as this does nothing more than create GLARE because you are moving all of the glass that directs light
HID bulbs in S13 and S14 kouki projectors work like SHIET!!! projector housings are not meant for HIDs unless they come with them in OEM form (ie: G35)...S13 and S14 kouki projectors are meant for halogen bulbs only...you will get much better results from a GOOD quality halogen bulb in a S13 projector than any HIDs on the market
there was a topic that covered ALL of these questions and comments on zilvia somewhere...the guy who runs ClearCorners.com answered everyones questions and concerns regarding why things work and dont work

Thank you. Thank you very much. Zilvia is my morning newspaper. Its the only place that I can joke around and enjoy myself without getting banned, even though thats happened numerous times already.
For some reason, they keep letting me back in.
