I DD my s14 every week day to work and on the way back i hit the canyons cuz it cuts through heavy high way traffic i don't want to get out and adjust my coilover everytime i hit the canyons so im considering installing Tanabe TEAS. system has anyone experienced with these b4 are they worth the money to put in? Give me some suggestions thanks

I remember when I had my Tanabe Sevens that there was another guy with an S14 that had Sevens with the TEAS. I'm trying to remember his username... but I guess I'm getting old. He lived in the Northeast, I want to say New York? Try checking the "suspension review" threads, or just search "tanabe seven"... you'll find his review.
The TEAS is designed to change damping based on speed, not just be a remote adjuster - I'd look into whether it supports that functionality.

its def worth while, bein able to adjust your dampening on the fly is incredibly convienient

Aaron, tell me how you really feel? Lol.
I enjoyed my Tanabe Sevens in my S13 - I never dealt with trying to rebuild them, but now that they have a US presence, I can't imagine that it'd be as much of a pain as it was for you.
I feel like even the 10k/8k springs (not the 'hard driving' 12k/10k) were overkill for a non-caged car, but the damping adjustment from full soft to full stiff was unreal - it felt great driving around town on full soft, and a couple clicks harder really took out the slop when pushing hard on bumpy roads. Full stiff was... uh... too stiff lol.
I thought they were cool, and I got 'em from Pacman when they first came out (he actually did work with Tanabe) for cheap, and sold them years later for the same amount. All in all, Tanabe is *thumbs up* to me.

I have the sevens with the teas on my s14.
if you're using the TEAS w/ the 7's & just doing canyon & daily driving I say don't bother.
looking back, initially it seemed like a fun toy.
after a while, I just kept my settings to full soft in all situations.
I can barely autoX with my existing susp setup
TEAS is not cheap either.
recall it being $3-500 and a bit tedious to install.
I get the impression the TEAS is probably better suited to some full track car on r-comps.
The device would give you the convenience of extra adjust-ability that might be otherwise meaningless for most.

I was actually considered buying these for my Tanabe Sevens as well. It's nice and luxurious to change settings on the fly, but I think it's inconvenient for a DD and a frequent canyon-runner. Just get out of the car, and change the settings, haha. Or just be like me and leave it on softest setting, all day every day. Even at autocross I get better timing with the softest settings verses a stiffer settings. :yum: If you have a deep pocket, then go for it. Or spend that 3-500 dollars elsewhere.

It clear this guy works for tanabe and is trying to promote traffic to their website. I checked his old posts and all of them are pertaining to tanabe.

It would actually be fun to start a thread on the optimal susp settings for autoX.
I wouldn't be surprised if the optimal setting would entail very soft spring rates.
Running the 7's at full soft on my 240, the car still feels really nervous in autoX.
Step on the gas a bit too much, and it gets super squirrely.
you really have to baby the car a lot to get decent times.
going to try 6/8 rates & get a set of stickier Z1's next

Dude, JIC has a US presence and I can't get ahold of them if it was to save my life.
FUCK.
Have you ever tried to call their repair dept? They require you to leave a message. BUT, you only have 10 seconds to leave the said message!
Try saying your name, number, jic product [FLT-A2; say that 3 times fast] and what you're interested in under 10 seconds.
I know they all get high and listen to the messages at the end of the day, shit has got to be funny.

you're pretty un-resourceful for a fanboy.
1 min of google brought me this;
TEAS stands for "Tanabe Electric Active Suspension" and is the counterpart of the Sustec Pro FIVE & Sustec Pro SEVEN suspensions.
