Adjustable actuator.

^^

Yup. HKS Actuator.

Screw in screw out. Make the actuator rod longer = more boost, shorter rod actuator = less boost....

^^^Isnt it the other way around??? Longer rod = less boost and shorter rod = more boost??? Or atleast thats how it is with my hks actuator, i think.

I think the way I describe it is correct as the longer rod holds the wastegate closed for longer... I am logically guessing....

you can also use a restrictor from advace, it looks like a normal plastic vac tuve union but it has a metal restricter inside of it. that will raise the boost. and if its too high you use a drill bit to ream it out by hand a little. its ghetto but it works

space the wastegate against the bracket w/washers

but the rod pushes the flap outward, opening the wastegate

the shorter the rod, the more the spring has to be compressed to open it as much?

thats how i understood it, ive only played with a couple hks internal gates, i can never remember

O crap you are right, its the opposite, forgot its a pull not a push!

SHORTER IT IS!!!

correct the shorter the rod the more boost you get. hks actuators are pretty cheap but i'd also get a boost gauge while you're at it. you have to adjust the hks and you don't want to be boosting to high with stock injectors if thats what you have.

Yeah 1/4 turn at one time!

i already have a boost gauge and 740cc injectors... so how do i shorten the rod...by cutting?

Or by putting washers against the wastegate brackets as Johngriff said.
Or by getting a HKS wastegate

You could cut it and weld it if you want I guess.

Yes, get out the hacksaw. LOL

Are you serious? HKS ADJUSTABLE actuator, you turn the rod to lenghen or shorten it.
