So I've done a lot of searching on zilvia and google and am looking for suggestions now on what to check. Long story short everything in my gauge cluster works, minus the speedometer. I got in contact with the previous owner and was informed that he was told it was the speed sensor (By the owner before him :duh:). Cars a s13 sr20det, was originally a 240sx se, always been manual.
So I found the speed sensor :rawk:

Then came to the realization I have no clue how to tell if it functions properly or not. But it looked fine.. ha. Anyways, Traced all the wiring as best I could and everything appears fine.
I haven't tried hardwiring like told here Hardwire speedsensor to cluster?! (http://zilvia.net/f/s-chassis/248941-hardwire-speedsensor-cluster.html?highlight=speedometer) Not sure if that would really do me any good though.
Next step that I'm thinking of is trying to pull a speed sensor out of another 240 and give it a try, but I'd have to wait until this weekend and go track down a junk yard with a s13. I'm not sure where else to look to troubleshoot the problem now. If anyone has any better suggestions or something I should read, I'd appreciate it!
