I am so close to having my sr running, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what this extra pipe coming off the motor is for?! Theres 3 pipes, one on the passenger side under the intake manifold, one on the back of the motor (which comes from the passenger side and wraps around to the back), and one on the driver side. Now, I know 2 of these are for the heater core, but A)I dont know which ones, and B) I dont know what the extra one is for?! Pics to help. Not the greatest but hopefully you can help me.

New pics! Driver side pipe:

The one on the driver side (well the hose coming off it, can't get a pic of it directly right now):

I can't get a picture of the one on the back because I can't even see it or get to it, but there is a hose connected to it. When I got the motor, there was a heater house on the one on the driver side, and the one on the back, and the one on the passenger side just had nothing? Please help, I can't figure this out for the life of me and its one of the last few things holding me up!

Ok so from what I gather, the one on the passenger side, and the one on the back are coolant pipes for the heater core. Then what is the tube I'm showing in the third picture? Is that even coolant? What's it go to?

The pipe in the first and second photo is a heater core line. How that runs on the RHD is it would have a 90 elbow connecting it to a strait pipe on the back of the motor. By the third picture that hose is a coolant hose but I'm not sure if its the correct one or not. How it should go is the pipe in the first photo should go to the lower heater core line, and the pipe thats just behind it but wraps to the back of the head should have a "U" shaped rubber hose plus another hose to reach it to the top heater core line. The second line you have coming off the back of the head is just junk, you can totally unbolt it or just leave it because it does nothing.

The one on the driver's side is from the crankcase. It connects to the back side of the T on the valve cover and has a small black catchcan in line from the factory. The one on the intake side is def. a heater hose.

Ok so....do I have to run 2 catch cans? Now I'm confused. Off the front of the T I have a line going to a catch can, then the line out of the catch can goes to my intake. Or should I just run a straight line from the pipe to the T so that the valve cover pressure, and the crank case pressure are both being pushed through to the catch can set up I have?

If you cut the hardlines which go behind the head like so:

It should look like this:

This is a better pic of the drivers side:

No, just run a single hose from the crankcase to the T on the valve cover and leave you catchcan as it is.

AH! Thank you! That is the answer I was looking for! This is my first SR, my first swap I've ever done, and the first turbo car I've had, so I'm pretty excited to get it done. :naughtyd:
