so long story short, my brakes suck, they are very spongy and just dont stop like they should.

i cant seem to make up my mind on what to do about it.

should i get new rear calipers and master cylinder along with a front brake upgrade?

the calipers have 240+ miles on them so they are prolly in need of some tlc.

what are some of yalls opinions on a brake overhaul

this has been covered so many times before.

depends on budget and purpose of vehicle.

new pads, rotors & lines will be sufficient

z32 upgrade is better.

r32 gt-r is awesome.

project mu or endless set up is straight baller.

pick your poison.

long story short.. stock 240sx brakes suck.

luckily there are MANY alternatives.
some that werent listed are...
z33 brembo brakes.
q45 brakes
j30 brakes
sti brembo rear caliper conversion
and then some.

i was plannin on doing a z32 front upgrade. maybe drilled and slotted. i dont have the time to do the rear ebrake setup for z32 so i was thinking get some new/er rear s14 calipers and get drilled and/or slotted rear rotors, steel brake lines all around. should i replace the master cylinder tho?

budget builders option: q45 brakes in the front . redrill q45 rotors to 4lug if you have 4lug hubs. buy generic brand pads. total is about 130 bucks. You wont need to touch your master cylinder. z32 brakes have the same surface area as the q45 brakes do. just as much clamping force...cheaper price....not as baller though.

i thought z32's had bigger rotors and calipers

practically same as the z32 the rotor thickness is slightly different but i doubt you'll feel a difference in braking between the two.

How much rwhp are you running with, I have the same question because I just installed a t03/04e turbo setup on my s13 and now I'm not sure what to go with, I have seen the 5 lug conversion from ebicah but I have heard mixed reactions to those. Anyone have any comments on those 5 lugs?
