my rb is revving up too fast.
in first gear my cars redlining within seconds.
Im assuming its either a boost leak or a maf problem but can anything else trigger this?

Are you reading this on your original tach? Did you recalibrate it when you swapped?
Is your clutch slipping?
Cruise at 45mph, put it in 5th gear and go to WOT. If the engine revs up more than the car accelerates, then your clutch is slipping.
I never calibrated it, clutch isnt slipping.

Are you reaching redline on the tach or are you hitting the rev-limiter?
If you didn't recalibrate the tach then you're not reaching the RPMs you think you are.
If you were having a boost leak or a MAF issue your car would be slower, not faster.

yea the redline will not read right because the tach is not calibrated. My tach goes past the 8k or what not but it is really at about 5 to 6 k. I have my AVCR wired so it gives me the RPM readout. The tach is about 1.5x off from where it should be.
