i got a vert, its 5 speed already dohc ka24de. the motor is all stock and i got a technical issue.

the car feels like it has vtec, thats the only way i can relate to it, it pulls great until around 4500rpm then the engine goes nowhere meaning im flooring it and the engine doesnt pick up speed and rpm, it just makes noise. sometimes it clears out and a whole lot of pull just comes. engine sounds fine, no knock, pinging. also the car idles wierd sometimes, sounds like its misfiring because the car shakes and idle goes up and down alittle but nothing over 1000rpm.

if it helps i recently washed my engine bay, no i didnt cover the electricals if it matters. the vert never had this problem before until recently

what shouls i check first? spark plugs? wires? electronics?

If the fuel pump isnt working correctly, how can the car run and drive?

It could be that the fuel pump is worn but not yet broken.

It can no longer put out enough fuel volume to run the engine that fast.

Possibly, But the strainer on the pump could be clogged with stuff as well causing the starve in fuel.

ok cool, im going to check the fuel filter first, cuz its easier to replace then the pump, its it still acts up im going to source out a fuel pump, anybody got diagrams, im a honda guy turned nissan so yeah any pics or info would help

ok got a new problem, was looking under my hood while idleing and saw a leaking injector, tightened it and now it pulls good through out the power band but it hesitates first then pulls, now what?

do a basic tuneup.
also check all the parts for damages or wear

Thats what i was thinking, flushing all the fluids, changeing all the filters, wires, plugs, cap, rotor, anything else i should look into change?

Knock sensor code 34 maybe??? You might have to pull ecu to tell and put it in diagnostic mode...cause unless car is ob 2 I don't think it will give you a CEL if it throws that code. Never did for my 95 KA (s14)

Car runs super cherry now, pulls harder now then before, thanks guys for the help
