thinking about putting one in my 510, but i'm not exactly rich. i'd be happy with 200, and 250 would be ideal, but i don't know too much about these engines. telling me how much, and what parts i'd have to throw at it would be awesome.
thanks, sorry for the noob post.

You don't use upgraded injectors with a FMU setup.

It can be done on a budget without going way cheap on what you use. I would suggest a s15 t28 as a turbo choice. You can find them reasonable used or you can get one for around $700 new. They can bring you right at or over 300whp.
You can find decent for your needs intercoolers new for 300-450 that are name brand. Sometimes with piping.
You can get 550cc injectors for around $400
A walbro 255lph pump for $100
A turbo xs bov for $120
And since you have no timing control (which is essential) with a fmu and since you actually screw your timing up with a safc I suggest a full nistune setup for $500
You will probably be maxing out the maf too but you can pickup a q45 maf for around $80
So +/- 300whp with a very responsive turbo on that will be really effecient on pump gas at 15psi you can do for around $2350 plus some odds and ends using good new parts mostly.
