hey folks, just wondering a bit about my thermostat

im not sure if its actually the thermostat, or the gauge

it seems when i look at my temp gauge, it doesnt seem to work.
sometimes the needle will just quiver and wiggle at COLD
other times it seems to work just fine, and sometimes it doesnt seem to work at all. would that seem like a problem with just the gauge or the actual thermostat?

my car hasnt overheated since i bought it, it really runs very great.
if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
i'd definately like to figure out how to fix the gauge, if thats what is on the fritz..

thanks

it's not your tstat. it might be your gauge or you temp sensor.

Speak English please. We can't read Ebonics.

OP- Unplug the gauge sender and ground the lead, have someone watch the gauge. If it sweeps from cold to hot without issue, the sender is bad. If it sticks or hangs up, or doesn't respond quickly, it's the gauge.
