ok, theres this decent 91 240SX FB a few blocks down from me. i pass it everyday to and from school, and its always in the same spot, it doesnt move, it doesnt have a for sale sign, i saw a neighbor and asked him whats up with it, he said it just sits there and the owner wants to sell it. its black, pretty stock, auto(:(), body is decent, its kinda wavy, and the paint of the front bumper has a 4"x4" chipping bubble, spoiler shows minimal signs of rust, and interior is decent. assuming the engine is shot, or on its last leg, how much do you think it should go for?? thanks:)lol

If the engine is about to go, I'd maybe say $1000 or so. It's kind hard to say. I don't know much about the prices of 240's cause I've only bought one, and I got it for a real good deal and it was pretty much like this "hey mike, know anyone selling a 240?" "yeah my step dad, *how much would you sell it to matt?* he said he'll sell it to you for $1500". It was pretty much a done deal on the first day searching for one. So don't listen to me.
Ohh yeah, mine's a '90. It had little signs of oxidization on the hood, 200k+ miles (serviced like a champ when he had it and it still pulls), also it's the base model, like a J.

instead of assuming the engine is about to go, why dont you check it out? drive it around . if the engine was shot i would say no more than 700.00 well depending on your area. here you can get a 240 shell w/ the engine pulled already for pretty cheap. if its an auto that means you are going to have to swap out the for the manual. thats more work/labor/money if you are tight for cash i would say just keep looking.
