I have a few questions about relocating your maf. I have been searching but have not had luck on finding what I want to know.

Now I have been thinking of moving my maf from the stock location, to right in front of the throttle body. My reasons for wanting to do this is just to clean up the engine bay. Also to make a short ram intake that does not take up the whole front of the car.

But my questions are:

-Does this actually do anything positive for the engine ?
-If so does it affect na cars the same as it does a turbo charged car ?
-This is whats called a "blow by" set up right ?
-What is needed to do this ?

Now I dont need anyone to spell it out for me, just point me in the right direction. I searched but was not finding what I wanted to know.

Thank you for the help.

My friend did this on his car when he went KA-T that way if there was a boost leak the maf would read it.

I dont know the CONS if any to this.
I'm curious about this subject as well...

On N/A it doesn't matter. Just do it! I plan to eventually.

i did it.i just extended the maf plug to reach the other side.it feels like i have a little more power in the bottom end now.For the intake i just used the top part of the cold pipe that connects to the throttle body.

Blow by is only if you put the maf before the throttle body on a TURBO set up.
