i say good for the guy making money off this stuff. but on the other hand wtf does raising the hood have to do with better a/f readings, or throttle response?

My only guess is because less hot air is underneath the 'real people' experienced an increase in hp lol..
Those threads look like shit. I like my nylon washers instead, no thanks.

whats even funnier is that Dmax actually sells these aswell for w/e price they sell em for...just look different...there maximizing on a market that has people doign this shit, but want a "clean'' look. Apperantly having a grip of wide washers isnt cutting it for some...
the funny thing is, none of these makers of this shit, have produced them to have a slight angle to reduce stress on the hood, stock metal might do fine, 0 issues if that...but a CF im pretty sure would show stress at somepoint...

Some people don't mind tossing out $20 for a good looking part rather than doing it ghetto style. I don't blame them.
Cars aren't cheap.

im not really refering to looks, im refering more towards what it does...how one company well known produces the same shit that others not as well known make, but because of looks, they get slandered about it...i just find it chuckling, mind you, this specific part doesnt even get seen unless u pop the hood...

You mean...
"well known company" makes it and people enjoy it.
"asshole company" makes it and people hate it.
like that?

ummm...no...how does what i say translate to the other company being an ''asshole''... another point of view, could be costumer being a douche prick and company doesnt do business with said types

Ok well, I don't understand what you're saying.
You mentioned DMAX right before this....

I will give them this it is creative. Lets face it most of the stuff we buy is pennys in material. It is how you put the materials together and market them.
I heard somwhere that sunglasses like Oakley, and Maui Jim cost less than $5.00 to make, but we pay the baller prices for them.

"Look guys, now it looks like my hood doesn't fit! Isn't that cool?"
Never saw the point in doing this.
But otherwise, the graphic design and presentation of the add is actually quite nice. I was expecting some bright colors and cheesy graphics. Whoever designed the add did a nice job.

^ It actually helps in relieving the engine bay of hot air. Though most just do it because it's trendy.
I'm not a big fan. I like having my parts fit perfectly aligned.
Have to give it up to the guys selling these "kits" though. Hell, that's a great profit right there.
It's like the s13 ignition key lights. Those things are all over junkyards in Maximas, I30s, Stanzas, and probably a few other Nissan/Infinitis that people aren't aware of yet. These things sell for high dollar on the forum and on ebay when most sellers just pocket them.
It's easy money to be made from the lazy and ignorant.

on a serious note though, lazy fucks are the ones people make money of of who are to lazy to go scurry and search for themselves, and i say why not, u put in the leg work, and the effort and the time, why shouldnt u be compisated for it...
