Hey guys im posting this for a friend, since he is lazy with computers. But anyway. When he first starts the car is makes a clunking noise. and than after 10 sec or so the clunking noise goes away. When he revs it up the noise will go away. After that the noise will not come back.. ANY IDEA GUYS..
THANKS....

sounds like he might have a sticking lifter or something along those lines since it sounds like once he gets oil going good up to the top end it goes away.

What engine is this on? Clunking or tapping/ticking?

HINT : buy some new lifters, find a FSM and install.

Some oil additive could help...

Doesnt necessarily be a sticking lifter, could just have air on it and need to be bled properly. Also it could just be cold start ticking, takes a second or 2 for the oil pressure to build up to push the lifters up.

Exactly, he could have a lifter bleeding down over night or inbetween drive times causing this... My Nissan pickup does it every morning.
