Im a newbie when it comes to compressor maps and all that other stuff. I was wondering what turbo size would you recommend with decent spool and can go to about 450 whp on a ka.

I'd imagine that Steve Shadows would chime in some time since I get the feeling he has a passion for turbo selection and many real world dyno sessions with various turbos. But you should check out either the GT2871 thread for 400 whp using ~20 psi or the GT3076 or 3071 thread for 400 whp plus using ~22-24 psi...both being Garrett GT series with ball bearing CHRAs with T2 bottom mount applications if you were wanting that style. I'd go topmount for that much power/maybe twinscroll setup for response time. KA-T.org would be another place to check for build ups/advice etc.

A lot of KA guys run ol' T3/T4 50 trims on KA's and it should pull 450whp on a w/ 20+ psi with great spool on the KA. It's an awesome lower cost compressor that is very capable on our cars. I love mine on my SR. But for 450 whp the GT 3076 would get it done a bit easier than the T3/T4. Hopefully Steve or another one the tuning guru's can give you a bit more insight.

By easier you mean with less psi right?
