I'm trying to decide what compression ratio to run in my motor, , i'll be using stock rods and i'm aiming for 300whp MAX, most likely just be running 7-10 lbs on a t3, 15 lbs will be the max. do you turbo buffs think 9:1 will be to high?

I would leave mine at 8:5.1.... But thats me.

are you upgrading the fuel systom, "injectors fuel pump" you can do it at 9:1 but you need good tunning on the fuel system. and watch the air fuel ratio's real close.

I would actually go with a 8.5:1 ratio

this way here, in the near future if you ever want to upgrade, you have room to bump the boost knowing you have the correct CR. but that is if you have the right fuel set up to be doin that.

I would also go with JE Pistons. they are nice.

8.5:1 is the way to go. You'll need to run ~2psi more to make up for the power loss from the pistons, but it's all good. Also, a t3 is too small to make 300hp. It could, but you'll be compressing the air past most T3 trim's efficiency. Possibly look towards a t3/4 for the 15psi you want to run. A t3 for 10psi would be a very good choice, tho. We're (Boosted and I) are just trying to keep you from buying parts, running to their limit, and then buying the same parts again, later. Buy the pistons once, buy the turbo once, and everything else is cheap enough to upgrade over time (injectors, ecu, ect.)
