SilEighty Front End

Hey guys Im working on a 240sx To SilEighty Project I was wondering if anyone can give me a couple of ideas or links that Could help me out. I already have the front clip of an s13 on my 240 but now im just looking for a nice front end to add on to it.

What? What do you define a front clip as?

A 240sx from 1989-1994 is an s13. So, umm...they come stock with s13 front clips alredy on them :confused:

If you meant an s13 SILVIA front clip, then ok, you've got an sr20 motor in and maybe or maybe not the silvia headlights and things needed to do the sileighty front on your 240sx fastback.

Your looking for a nice front end? Front clip = front end for the most part. Do you mean a nice bumper?

I wonder how many newbs actually know how the sil-80 got started and that it was only nissan produced for like 2 year in limited #'s.......or do they just wanna be jdm cool??

yes there are pics from a 'brochure' but i dont recall a FULL scan of the brochure

points to consider:

no one has ever come up with a sil80 part number
no sil80s have popped up since the supposed '500 made' (nothing in magazines or yahoo japan or otherwise)
it is though that Kid's Heart MADE the sil80s and sold the 500.

its not set in stone of the sil80 rumor. until part numbers show up or a picture of the car (beyond the 1 or 2 shown) will i believe it. as same goes with most people who do some leg work on it

used car and custom shop `kids heart` planned and sold THE SILEIGHTY which PRODUCED by nissan. they were 500 limited.

the guy who had 180SX crashed his front end and he found silvia face. so he just used silvia front end to fix his car. maybe this is how sileighty started.

BUT this is true that MR Takayama from `kids heart` did plan and sold the sileighty which produced by nissan.

i hope i made it clear for everyone.

oh and some of you who needs evednece, call Mr takayama at kids heart at 011(int`l #)-81(japanese country #)-0568(kids heart area code)-24-1222


get a japanese translater and call them if you dont agree. until then. CASE CLOSED!

SO the sil80 is like a yenko camaro... Made by a specific person/shop with official support from the factory. That is also why there is no Sil-80 part #'s. They use the prexisting silvia and 180sx parts. Sweet!!!

yes that's right.
dude, any one w/ a 180sx slaps a silvia front end on it has a sil80.

they did more, they made windows and w/ kouki lights made center panels, stuff that was made once it seems and never reproduced. though i'veyet to see one for sale, so as for its current locations, who knows. never ever seen it.
im surethey made some more goodies, but its NOT factory production.

they used nissan production cars (as in, purchased new from nissan) and on their own, make the sil80 and sold it

does that make sense?

It would be a sil40. Dousan is right about every newbie wanting a sil80. I contemplated making my 240 into one a while ago, but now ive changed my mind because soon enough there will be more than enough on the road. Now i prefer a nice kouki 180 look.

I wouldn't consider myself a newbie and I prefer the sil80 look for most hatchbacks :confused:

What most people forget is that doing just a silvia front end will make you car look like poopy. You definitly need some sort of aero package in order to look good.

I agree with that 100%.. personally the stock s13 silvia front end looks like Ass without Aero...

wow real amazing I asked one question about a front end for my sileighty project and I get nothing but arguments . I should have just stuck with the rx7 forum instead least they help people out.

about the GT1&2 arguements (i was going to add it on there, but it was locked), ofcourse they have to get the rights through Nissan, because the car is made through Nissan products. it would be like having a corvette with a camaro front in a video game, you would still have to get the rights from Chevrolet. that arguement is not valid. and as dousan said, untill i see proof either way i will take it as a DEALERSHIP produced car, not an official Nissan product. everything else is just hearsay and conjecture.
