Having a random ignition failure problem. Runs fine until warm up and then dies like cut off keyswitch. Replaced distributor, ecu, ignition coil, control module, fuel injectors, fuel pump & filter, coolant temp sensor, knock sensor, and iacv. Checked resistor/condensor--tests ok. Swapped eccs relay. Still having same problem.

does the motor actually turn off, or does it just "stumble" for a few seconds and then go back to running normal?

Doesn't stumble at all. Just drops dead. Until cool down, neither spark plugs nor fuel injectors will fire.

Look at the wiring at the distributor. Pull out a diagram and check continuity of the wires. There could be a short or break. Just throwing parts at it will not always fix it. Those two codes are relating to the distrbutor and wiring. Also check pin fit at the CAS connector. Once heat gets up to the connector, the female portion of the connnector can expand not making good contact causing your problem. There should have some resistance when the pin is inserted, not just slide right in. You'll need a pin ouf of a connector though.

Put heatsink compound on the cotrol module and eliminated the code 21. Checked all the wiring related to the code 11. Have found no reason as of yet for the problem. Is it possible for the timing to be off a little and cause a fault reading by advancing the timing too far?
