i'm new to this forum... and in need of help>> i just picked up a 89 240, and i want to do a swap... and i'm on a budget cause of school... and i found a complete gti-r motor for #### cheap... i was wondering what is needed for the swap of a gti-r into a 240... i want it to be rear wheel... can the block it bolt onto my tranny?? is there massive custom fabrication to get this swap done? what exactly needs to be done??? any insight into this would be great... thanks fellaz

Well Jon, to give you my honest opinion its not impossible but more or less impractical. The GTI-R motors are awd and there's no way the block would bolt onto your stock tranny. Custom Fabrication.. #### yes, and since you said you were on a budget, just forget about it. I'd say the best thing for you to do is find a SR20DET from a Silvia or 180SX. Check out www.heavythrottle.com they've got plenty of resources and could possibley answer your questions. Yeah, but just forget the whole GTI-R thing, just go with S13 SR20DET. Good luck bud

Check out www.autoimaging.com they have the 180SX wings, kinda pricey though. As for the front, check out www.shinkairacing.com They have lots of aftermarket body kits, but I'm sure they can get you a jdm front bumper.
