I am in the process of converting my green s14 interior to black and have all the pieces except the dashboard (which im having a real hard time finding locally) and the rear plastics next to the seats. I think I'm gonna pick up some plasticote black paint for the plastic parts and was wondering if anyone has painted the dashboard black with success? If you did do you have any pics and what kind of paint did you use?

Post up some pictures of your results if you decide to go with the Plastikote stuff! I might do that to my green interior down the road.

East Wood has some good stuff. Or you could try flocking it.

PlastiKote sucks ass.

Do it right, SEM or nothing. Buy the prep and cleaner too. I've dyed a ton of dashes, you just have to use the right products and follow the instructions. That means spraying several light coats, not gooping it on like putty. It's pricey to buy the better products but you won't have flaking and peeling in a month like that other shit.

I used Duplicolor black vinyl Spray paint...
Did a light wetsand
Then a Degrease
Then shot the paint...

Here/s a pic when i was a ricer...Dash came out pretty good for what it was..
Hope this helps..
