when nissan made the (awesome) sil-eightys they also made a much less known model '1-via' which had the front of a 240 and the back of a silvia. Having never seen one just curious if anyone knows if this could be one?

Uhh, yeah. Those are know as a nissan 240sx coupe :p

And is it just me or does that car look photochopped?

looks like the wheels and rims were photoshopped

in his location, it says melbourne, i'm guessing melbourne, australia, and i'm also guessing there aren't any 240 coupes over there, but i dont know, haha

Did they really make one, because I don't think they made such a thing. If they did it is a major shock to me.

And if they did that isn't one, that is just a photoshoped slamed 240sx coupe.

More like Melbourne, FL... that's a LHD car. It's just a 240SX.

There was no factory "onevia"... just 240SX coupe. Where do people get these ideas?

never was a factory One-Via. its a fad/style thing people in JAPAN do.

in the USA, its just another 240sx coupe.

Onevias own! I hope to move all my parts over to an unsuspecting chuki coupe in due time. Have a sweeeeeeeeet Onevia that no one likes b/c they say coupes look goofy with the 180-style face. Well F those people. Onevias are deck as F!

hehe I know where theres a nice looking wingless grey onevia :) I need to stop and see what the deal with it is. might make a pretty pimp daily driver ;)

I read a site about the "one via" and in europe and austrailia they never got our 240 with teh coupe body and pop ups, so guys do it to be different.
I don't think the factory ever made it, its like guys here doing a sil eighty conversion.

Actually, that coupe is (or was) owned by a girl in CA, I think in LA. I think her name was Irene or something. That pic is NOT 'chopped.

ya it is chopped, look at the front bumper, there is a little bit of spacing left. It is prolly just slammed, rims look real, or this person went all out and made it so that you could see through the rim (look at the rear rim and follow the shadow of the rear bumper)

About the sticking it looks wierd, looks liek a silvia sticker with bigger letters over the sil part.


If it does say onevie the word one is huge, or it says something about silvia.

I still find a coupe with silvia front (non projectors of course) looks better, but that cwest kit is sexy, and I have seen my fair share of nice "one-vias", lol and it is funny that all these little rumors of nissan factory cars come up.

since we are on the topic of changing the silvia front to somethin else, i wonder if anyone has done a kouki S14 face on a S13 coupe? ive seen it done on the 180SX but not on a coupe, that might be interesting to look at....hmm, :shrug:

and before you flame me, just dont. you guys are so f'n quick to judge sometimes. i'm not a god damn ricer, just wondering what that would look like OK. :rolleyes:

It's chopped. Nothing drastic, just chopped to make the car look lower.

Asides from the jagged white line under the front edge of the bumper, there is a slight "border" on the bumper's passenger side showing that the person who "lowered" the car didn't follow the edge close enough.

Not sure if anyone else already said this but......

Nissan never made "sil-eightys". In Japan, U.S.....they were never made! All a sil80 is, is a 180/240sx fastback with a S13 silvia front end (not from the factory).

IIRC they did produce a limited number of sileightys. And wouldnt a 240sx be more of a sil fourty? If i ever did the convo thats what i would call the beast.

im pretty sure Nissan of japan didnt make them themselves, but a smaller subdivision of it like certain dealers would have them done and sold through them. not exactly official Nissan, but more or less. thats MY understanding of it at least. i heard benson has a brochure for one or something.

and i did ask about on a coupe cuz ive already seen a few on a 180. so i was wondering how it looks on the coupe. not like im gonna go out and do that **** and put supra tails and paint it lime green and put NOPI stickers on it. damn its like noone can ask to see pictures of unique things without being called a ricer nowadays. :rolleyes: so yeah, im not a ricer or a n00b. you probably dont even remember me but i was the guy sitting next to you in the banquet room at the 240 convention SpeedZone thing. you hijacked my table like you hijack people's threads!! jk haha, anyway, we shall settle this on the track!

Yes, Sil-Eightys were indeed produced, a very limited number of course, under 500 were produced. They actually got the spinoff from the Japanese drifters who were bolting up the S13 front because they bashed there 180 front clips and the S13 were abundant and cheaper, im at work now, but when i get home ill post a like for yall:D
