BEISSEN: Korea isn't to bad (hope you like KImchee) If you have a computer or buy one there you can get on the net. I have been to a few bases there its all good if you like to party but they have a curfew but you will figure that out. Stuff is cheap off base so you should be able to buy allot of stuff. Oh and I am in the Marines So I have not been stationed there but been there a few time for deployments while stationed in Japan(for 6 years). So have fun. Oh and the demonstrations you will get used to those happens allot there, no big deal. Good luck and have fun.

Korea is one of the most connected countries in all of asia. PC bangs all over the place.

#1 downloader of internet pornography in Asia! And 80% of those who download are college students.

Go Korea!

My friend who was there about a month ago said anti-us sentiment sounds worse than it is cause you only hear about the negative stuff. Many of the newspapers there are decidedly anti-US military so its expected that they would only report the protests.

All you have to do is talk about world cup and how the Koreans got gypped in their last match. You'll make friends for life.

Beissen, I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. I went through that barely two years ago. And my family is a lot like yours--everybody gets together and it's miserable for me. Just remember that we are your family, too. We always will be. We care for you and will never judge you, and we'll only make fun of you when you deserve it ;) j/k

Keep your head up and please don't drive tonight. Stay home and read through the post-whoring thread in OffTopic--I'm sure it will give ya a few laughs :D

Take care--we sincerely do care about you.........we're your friends, your family & your community whenever you need us ;)

Make sure that you take the time to see the country. I was stationed there awhile back at camp humpfries. I was a 93p also for 4 years. Korea was my first duty station. The year goes by so fast you won't even notice it. When I was there I didn't even take my leave at 6 month to go home. You will make some good friends over there because you have to stick together.

Well just saying hi and I have made a few friends here already,I have hit the town a couple days ago and it was ok.I am going through alot of briefs right now and classes can't wait till all this crap is over.I am planning on coming home in december if I am able to.I am going to enroll in the orfan (sp) program and take an orfan to a destination and get a free round trip tick to come home and back so that is a plus plus I also like kids in a way so it wont be so bad.But I will occasionally write you all and let you know what is going on here and what I am up to and how things are.I also have some news that you all might noe like but when I come home in about a year I am planning on tradeing in or selling my 240SX and getting a 93+ RX-7 tt.I want to have a car that is already turbo and emission leagal cus I don'e know any places that I can pay off so That will be to much of a hassle for me but I will really miss my car.

FastBack 240
04-24-2003, 01:17 AM
Hows shiit going over there? I understand about the RX-7tt although its not the same as the beast 240's! Good luck man and god bless!

BEISSEN
04-24-2003, 03:40 AM
It is ok here right now,I love the 240 as well but we lost some much of the car when it came over here and it would be too much money trying to turbo the 240 and a huge hassle to sr it cus I knnow no place that will pass me.But I will see as time goes on if I go that route I might settle for a 300zx tt instead I don't quet know yet I love nissans so much its hard to decide right now.
