okay so i searched and i found a diy on checking the timing but it was not the best...anyways i checked the timing and it would be on the second to the right line for about a few sec then jump back and fourth to the third line then go back to the second...now is this good? my cas is already adjusted all the towards the firewall? is this normal or what do i have to do to make this work properly?

where i got the diy check timing:

Timing jumps around, I know mine does especially when you put cams in it and stuff..... But its normal.

Secondly just rent a timing gun from Napa.... its free.

there is a very specific procedure you must follow.

it involves disconnecting the TPS, revving the engine three times above 3000 rpms to lock the timing.

you probaly didnt' do that and that's why it's jumping around.

something i've also found is that the loop on the back of the coilpack harness is retarded and doesn't work. what you should do is remove the coilpack from cyl # 1. get some random useed spark plug wire from somewhere, preferably a KA engine, and stick it into the spark plug, stick the other end into the coilpack. THEN conenct the timing light pickup to the spark plug wire, THEN you'll get an accurate timing reading.

plus, uhh search on this forum, it's been covered, why are you posting BS from nico.

Rev 3 times to 3000 makes it "timing dance"
