I've had my car for one year now and found that I've put 20,000 miles on it since(eventhough i began driving almost one month later). Anyways, how many miles have you put on your engine within a years time?(KA or SR)

Hrm, I got the car last June, I've put almost 7K on it. So I guess roughly 10K/year.

I got mine April 21, '01, and I've put a little over 25k on it, so I guess that's approx 12.5k/year. I've got barely 11k left on my warranty :( But then it will be time to mod! :D

Screw that mod it now! Fixing a 240 is not hard and you have Zilvia and FA to guide you through any installs/replacements. I am the only one that works on my car (because of the SR) and it really is pretty easy.
If someone says "what about the downtime" just say isn't the car sitting at the dealership or mechanic "downtime". Might as well do it yourself and know you did it right.;)
BTW- I didn't know crap about cars until I started doing all my own work. Now I would say I am fairly knowledgable about the 240

I bought my car on October 25th, 2002...and in abit over 5 months I've put on 15,000 miles. That will slow down over the summer though, so prolly around 25k-30k a year. Not bad for a 19yr old college student.
I put 10k on it since I bought it

What I meant is that I can start modding AFTER my warranty expires in 11k miles. I'm still picking away at little pieces for them to replace so I won't have to pay for it after my warranty is up. If I mod now, and something breaks, my warranty won't cover it and a $100 deductible for the next 11k miles is a better deal than modding & needing maintenance and having to pay for the parts and labor myself.

:) yeah, for all those scared of working on their own car...it's not that hard with the help of forums and the ocational trip to a nissan dealer (you can ask the techs random questions and leave...they're cool most of the time).
I've had my car about a year and a half and put about 30,000mi on it.
