6 speakers?

Well the other day when I was installing a system into my 240sx I took apart the panels by the rear seat and noticed mounting brackets for a speaker. Then I go onto sounddomain.com and they say that the car has 6 speakers but I dont understand why they put it their when the panel covers it up any ideas?

the cover panel covers it up so the sun doesnt roast the speaker. 6speaker system is two in the rear two in the door and two tweeters on the A piller

i assume ur speaking of s14's.. cuz i've never seen a stock s13 with 6 speakers..
btw i have a kenwood excelon cd player, and i want crisp sound.

i dont wan spend mad money just good sound. what speakers u reccomend?... 4x6 up front and 6 1/2 in rear i dont wann change sizes either

Infinity, MB Quart, CDT, Image Dynamics are all really good, but me myself I wanna put at least 6.5 in front and 6x9 in rear and about the hidden speakers in the middle of the car I think ill just forget about it since the sound would just get blocked by the panel, I am talking about an s13 if you go take out the panel next to the rear seat where you would potentially set your arm you will see a mount for a speaker that isnt their go figure.

If you have any audio Q's let me know im pretty literate on the subject ive installed about 4 systems for friends now.

what size speaker is the mount for? I think someone put it their, i.e. its not OEM. If it is for 6x9/6.5s, i will purchase them from you. thanks

there has never been a factory 6-speaker system for the 240sx.


I really like CDT speakers..Boston Acoustic's is good too, and not quite as pricey.

I am gonna have to look behind my panels to see whats going on back there. if there isnt a mount i plan on fabbing some anyways, i dont like mounting on the hatch cover, i want to go stealth this time.

I did not know that! where were the 2 extra speakers?? In the rear seat panels like he is referencing?

They count the tweeters :o if they were coax's i wouldn't count them, but a tweeter is a speaker, its just fact, it has all the components of a mid or a sub, so it is a speaker, n e whos :D who cares right?

ahh.. I didn't think there were actually a-piller tweeters. I just never pay attention to that when looking at s14's.
