i need some help, i just rescently purchased a 93 240 w/ sr20, my problem is my gears, it's hard for me to put it in and out even when i got the clutch all the way in especially first and reverse. It only happens when i'm on a dead stop but once i get going it shifts fine. I tried bleeding it but didn't work. The clutch seems to be fine, it's not slipping or chattering. I have to shift it to second then to first to get it in first gear, then i have to sometimes force it in to reverse. When the car is off, the gears shifts in fine, so the problem only appears when the engine is running. I desperately need some help. Thanks for ur time. mike

You have a problem with your clutch (most likely). Seems like a pressure plate issue to me. I'd say drive on it as long as you can, while buying new clutch parts. Clutch disk, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bushing, alignment tool, clutch slave, clutch master, stainless clutch flex line, maybe even a new flywheel. Then, once you've got it all, swap your clutch, and your problem will be solved.

lol.. that would definately fix your problem.
OR you could just buy a new clutch like a spec stage 2 or 3 from enjuku and it will come with the alignment tool, and throwout bearing..
probably no need to replace the "clutch slave, clutch master, stainless clutch flex line, maybe even a new flywheel" unless you just wanted a better performing clutch than stock.
The flywheel may need to be resurfaced, or replaced. you can find out once you get it open, and look at it.

Very true. I'm a big fan of preventative maintenance, and the cost of the components versus the cost of hassle and downtime is worth it to me. Plus, it's a 10 year old car, and it CAN'T hurt to replace 10 year old parts. Just think of it as peace of mind.
