I believe this particular car had coilovers.
Can i achieve this stance with these z33 wheels with lowering springs on my s14?
I absolutely hate coilovers because i drive daily everywhere.
What springs eibach or tein etc.. would come close??
I was leaning towards eibach sportlines

not all coilovers are bad...
you can set them to whatever settings you want. get a friend with coils and ask them if you can ride along with full soft...

well springs are cheaper and with coilovers they can get super pricey for essentially the same ride height with better quality

The only time I've ever seen good stance with springs was on Ohlins. Just get some mid-higher end coilovers

Stock struts have shitty travel. Lowering springs make it worse. You end up bouncing off the bump stops till they blow.
There are streetable coils. Get something in a 5/6 or 6/7kg.
i had gr2 they are stock replacment so yea my car bounced but never blew

i hate springs period!!! And never want to go back to springs ever, but will def choose springs over godspeeds. they are horrible. lowering spring and shock setup will last longer than those. But if you have a choice between coils and springs then get coils. coils aren't that bad man.

If you absolutely MUST get springs get some RSR springs as they go the lowest and some Koni Yellow shocks. You can modify your front strut housing to go lower if you want....out back you're kind of stuck unless you get S13 rear shocks....and if you do that it will be DUMPED (they're 3-4 inches shorter then S14 shocks).
But yes, with springs you can get your car to look like the S14 in the picture.

i know RSR goes low, but i had some NISMO springs and they went very low (for springs), heres a pic, not coilovers, just nismo shocks and springs.

quit being a vag and get some coilovers. 6/8k. soft dampening. your flower won't be damaged.

i had new oem struts and shocks with megan springs for a while. it was only 2inches lower, not enough for me. i just got a set of tein basics and the difference is night and day. not only do they go lower, but the handling is vastly improved. i basically wasted $450 doing it the "cheap" way first.
save yourself the money and hassle and do it right the first time.

RS*R Race springs 5kg front 4kg rear with some Tokico HP (blues). I had this setup on an older car and it had amazing ride quality for a daily setup. Also put the stance right where the original posted car was. Highly recommended if you don't want coilovers.
Another option you can look into is Tein Basics and trying to get a set of softer springs with them. That'll probably run you about the same as a spring/shock combo and be just as streetable.
Edit: Oh crap I didn't read the post right above this haha. Yea get them and that should give you what you're looking for.
IMHO... get a diferent car if u want something confotable ;)

I not about comfort, but my buddy has coilovers and when he hits a bump it feels like hitting a brick wall on every bump. They may be too old.

Not every coilover are the same. Its all different due to dampening and spring rate. Why dont you ask your buddy what he has and get something with a lower spring rate so it doesnt feel like hitting a brick wall. If you ordered tein, they have some of the lowest spring rate of any coilover in the market. To me, they are the softest feeling coilover ive ever ridden in. If its still too stiff for you, get some different Swift springs with an even lower spring rate.

It's not all about spring rate, I have 525s right now and you would never guess it. But the basics will be good for just driving around. iirc the tein ss are real good for dd too

What's your budget?
I ran stance gr+pro in my hatch that was daily driver. Very nice ride. Only harsh on low speed bumps. But had mine set pretty stiff. Still comfortable tho.
I am currently running tein flex in my daily driven s14. Very comfy ride. Nice and soft. Spring rates are 6/5. Kind of soft for me but still nice. Might have to get stiffer springs to compensate. But so far I like. Perfect for daily driving.

I like my ride hieght, but plan on swapping to Tien SS coils eventually...
I currently have Ohlins struts with Eibach Sportlines... They ride great and are very comfortable, but it's defiantly stiffer than stock.

I have nismo coilovers, R-tune i believe, and they are great for daily driver, they go lower, feel great, and provide a great smooth ride... or you could get the cheaper nismo s-tune springs/strut combo?
