ok guys so i have a greddy tt w/ harness in my sr s14. it has been working fine w/ no issues for a while now. today i installed a AEM UEGO afr gauge(which isnt working correctly i doesnt always read and gives me crazy rich like 17 at idle when it wants to work) on the gauge itself there are 2 plugs, 1 for power 1 for the sensor. when i just have the power plugged in it reads 14.7 like i think its supposed to but when u plug the other in i just get 2 dashes AND when i plug the sensor one in my TT just starts counting up?? it wont stop just keeps counting up, pull the plug out and it goes back down.

My question is WTF? seems like i have a bad afr sensor but how are these related since my uego isnt connected to anything but itself? any ideas or help would be great guys

17 is crazy lean.....

I think you also need to calibrate before installing..... RTFM.....

You probably have wiring problems... (grounding issues) You may also want to learn how your gauges work and read, unless they're just for show.

With the sensor not seeing any exhaust gasses (free air), your gauge should count down from let's say, 14.7 ---- to Lean or AIR or --.
We'll that's how mine works.
..... RTFM.....

i have read it, yes i meant 17 super lean just wasnt thinking. but what does this have to do with the TT? thats really my question now

Like I said I am sure there is calibration before you stick that thing into your pipe

Wire them independently, don't splice into the same wire.

for the ground? i dont see anything about calibration either

http://www.schnitzracing.com/manuals/AEMWBK.pdf

calibration on the last page....

Did you even read the instruction manual? Secondly did you install the sensor BEHIND the cat, because this really fucks up widebands.....

Yes don't splice gauges onto gauges, get a clean switch or acc 12V and a terminal ground (meaning to a chassic nut or bolt.)

Maybe your tt manual is telling you to use the o2 sensor and your trying to use the wideband for this. Try using the tt on the stock o2 narroband and not the wideband unless your wideband has a narroband output like most do.

TT has nothing to do with an o2 sensor, it takes power, ground, and plug-n-play harness......

its 36 inchges from turbo BEFORE cat like manual says, yes i read that shit

the last page is return info....second to last page is specs.....second/third to last is has calibration but if you would read it thats not something you need to do if running unleaded fuel and you want AFR reading.....which is what im looking for...

i changed power/ground locations no help at all....this shit makes no sense how there related, nobody has experienced this?

EDIT: after some googling i found some evo guys with the same problem, i guess the uego just fucks with the tt..but i still get weird readings...

Yeah you might have to just recaliberate manually. Yes I saw that this is this circuit bla bla bla that you don't need free air calibration, but just do it anyways. Sit at idle and tune to 14.8.... try it....

Otherwise its weird.... so are you tapping ACC under the steering column?

im using something from fuse panel, sunroof i think it was so it takes the key in ON position...

when im driving it reads full lean(like past 18 just dashes) on shifts it will show up for a sec and get rich, as it should. sometimes at idle i will get 13's but usually just dashes

will check calibration

Try getting a better ACC.... steering column
