i wanna powder coat my rims a different color.. the reason is that gay clearcoat is coming off.. i got the rims for free as a 3rd time hand me down.. lol...
i was wondering though if any local (americas tire co, wheelworks, etc) does powder coating... cuz if they dont im just gonna paint them myself... only because the rims are scraped to hell.. any thoughts? ideas?
i was thinking a light gunmetal for the spokes and leaving the lip silver...
i would post a pic of my rim but for some reason i cant post pics without it timing out on me..and i have DSL...hhmm:o

I know for sure that america's tire/discount tire doesnt (i work there) and im almost positive that other tires places (Big-O, wheels works, etc..) dont' either. you'd be better off taking them to a paint shop.

Break out the phone book from holding the coffee table up.
Scroll to the P section
Look for powdercoating services..
call around
take them the wheels
They'll sand blast them, heat, powdercoat, cure .. done
pick them up.

Oh yeah, you'll have to get the tires unmounted, they mounted after the wheels are powdercoated.

If you pick a good shop, should come out like ...

Doooooo it! That would look sweet, the black on black. How much do you think it'll run?

Maybe america's tire sends 'em away, they might do that if they have a local shop, but i know they don't paint em.
