I notice a few people sell what seems to be an underneath cooling panel or skidplate from there s14 kouki from time to time. I never bought one but was wondering. Is there a difference in the zenki one??? Or does it really matter, because I am in the middle of a JDM kouki conversion myself.

I can't say for sure, but I just bought a Parts By Max Skid Plate for my Zenki. I didn't need to specify if I had a S14 Zenki or Kouki....hope this helps.

zenki and kouki are the same. The only difference is the forward wheel well plastic is different. If you have a front mount, you may have to do some cutting on that plastic undertray.

if you need a skid plate, just make your own. This cost me $14 and took about 2 hours to make. Only tools were a tape measure, marker, file, and a cut off wheel for my angle grinder.

No need for buying all of that sheetmetal. I'm going to make mine out of a road sign that came down near my house a while back (not an important one like a stop sign), and mount it with the reflective side down.
